Objective: To explore and analyze the efficacy and safety of enhanced recovery after surgery(ERAS)in high altitude patients undergoing laparoscopic radical surgery for elderly patients with colorectal cancer. Methods: According to the qualification,60 elderly patients undergoing laparoscopic colorectal cancer radical surgery in the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery,Affiliated Hospital of Qinghai University from November 2017 to November2018,were enrolled according to the random number table method. The patients were randomly divided into two groups: observation group(ERAS)and control group,30 cases in each group. The control group received the traditional perioperative management method and the observation group was treated with the ERAS procedure. The postoperative venting time and postoperative pain scores were compared between the two groups(postoperative pain scores were scored according to numerical pain rating scale(NPRS),0 was painless,1 to 3 was mild pain,4 to 6 points moderate pain,7 to 10 divided into severe pain),average postoperative hospital stay, hospitalization costs, and postoperative complications:(1)anastomotic leakage;(2)intestinal obstruction;(3)infection,including wound infection, urinary tract infection, lung infection. After statistical analysis, the corresponding results were obtained.Resulds: The ERAS group was compared with the traditional perioperative group. There were no significant differences in gender, age, ethnicity, postoperative pathological stage(pTNM),and tumor location between the two groups(P>0.05).Compared with the traditional perioperative group, the ERAS group had shorter postoperative venting time, less postoperative pain, lower postoperative complication rate, fewer hospital stays, and lower average hospitalization costs.Postoperative exhaust time(P=0.000),average postoperative hospital stay(P=0.000),average hospitalization cost(P=0.000),postoperative pain score(P=0.021)and postoperative complications(P =0.016)was statistically significant. Conclusion: The enhanced recovery after surgery(ERAS)in Qinghai Plateau is effective and safe in the perioperative period of laparoscopic radical surgery for elderly patients with colorectal cancer.Accelerated rehabilitation surgery can promote early rehabilitation of elderly patients with colorectal cancer and reduce the economic burden of patients.
