Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Third Lumbar Transverse Process Syndrome By Lumbar-spine-rotating Pulling

ObjectiveThis study is designed to clarify the difference of clinical effect between manipulation combined with lumbar-spine-rotating pulling and manipulation combined with lumbar-oblique pulling by the observation of the different effect between this two different therapy.It is hoped that the advantage of the lumbar-spine-rotating pulling therapy can be found in the treatment of this disease.MethodsSixty patients with the Third Lumbar Vertebral Transverse Process Syndrome were randomly divided into two groups:the treatment group and the control group.In the treatment group,30 cases were treated with manipulation combined with lumbar-spine-rotating pulling,while in the control group,30 cases were treated with manipulation combined with lumbar-oblique pulling.The VAS and JOA scores of tenderness points before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.ResultsThe total effective rate was 96.67%in the treatment group and 100.0%in the contro]group(P>0.05).The VAS and JOA scores of the third lumbar transverse process in the treatment group and the control group were improved after treatment,P<0.05.After treatment,the JOA score,JOA improvement index,JOA improvement rate,JOA efficacy evaluation table and overall efficacy evaluation of the treatment group were compared with those of the control group,P>0.05.the VAS score of the third lumbar transverse process in the treatment group was better compared with that in the control group after treatment,(P<0.05).ConclusionManipulation combined with lumbar-spine-rotating pulling and manipulation combined with lumbar-oblique pulling have definite curative effect on this disease.There is no significant difference in the overall curative effect between the two methods.Manipulation combined with lumbar-spine-rotating pulling can improve local tenderness of the three transverse processes of the lumbar spine better.
