| ObjectiveThrough the comparison of the stage treatment of TCM put forward by Professor FU Wenyang and the treatment of Buzhong Yiqi Decoction plus or minus based on syndrome differentiation,this research evaluates the condition of the patients with allergic rhinitis of defieiency-weakness of spleen-qi from the point of quality of life,observes the differences between these two treatment methods,and choose the better way for clinical work.MethodsThe cases of allergic rhinitis of deficiency-,eakness of spleen-qi were selected from outpatient department of Professor FU Wenyang in Shenzhen Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital,from March 2018 to December 2018.In strict accordance with the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria,104 eligible cases were included ultimately,and according to the odd-even sequence of seeing doctor divided into 2 groups:the trial group(odd number)and the control group(even number),each group of 52 cases.The trial group was treated by stages of lung,spleen and kidney,each stage was lasted for 2 weeks;in the initial stage the patients were treated by Small-blue-dragon Soup and Yu-Pingfeng Powder plus or minus;in the medium stage the patients were treated by Buzhong Yiqi Decoction,Yu-Pingfeng Powder and Cang' erzi Powder plus or minus;in the last stage the patients were treated by Jingui Shenqi Bolus and Yu-Pingfeng Powder plus or minus.The control group was treated by Buzhong Yiqi Decoction plus or minus based on syndrome differentiation and the treatment lasted for 6 weeks.Both of the group were collected data by rhinoconjunctivitis quality of life questionnaire(RQLQ)and visual analogue score(VAS)before treatment,2 weeks after treatment,4 weeks after treatment,6 weeks after treatment and 2 months after withdrawal.In the end of the research,to organize all of the data and do statistical analysis through using statistical software.Result1.104 subjects included in this research have completed the treatment on time voluntarily and accepted follow-up and data collection.2.There were no significant differences on the baseline conditions between the two groups,such as gender,age,degree of education,marital status,mite sensitivity level,smoking status and course of disease,the comparability was good(P>0.05).3.The baseline conditions of total score and each dimension score of RQLQ were no significant differences between the both group,the comparability was good(P>0.05).4.The baseline conditions of mean score and each symptom score of VAS were no significant differences between the both group,the comparability was good(P>0.05).5.Evaluation of quality of life:Within each group,there was statistically significant difference in the total score and each dimension score of RQLQ by comparing 5 evaluation points in pair(P<0.01).This result illustrated that both treatment methods could improve the quality of life of the patients.But the long-term follow-up result of the trial group was superior to the control group in the dimension of daily activities,sleep,non-naso-ocular symptom,practical problem,and emotion.Comparison among groups at the time of 2 weeks after treatment,there was statistically difference(P<0.01)in nasal symptom dimension score of RQLQ between the two groups in each evaluation points;but there was no significant difference(P>0.05)in the total score and rest dimension score of RQLQ.Comparison among groups from the time of 4 weeks affter treatment to 2 months after withdrawal,the total score and each dimension score of RQLQ were statistically differences(P<0.05).The results showed that at the time of 2 weeks after treatment the trial group was only better in nasal symptom dimension,the improved conditions of overall quality of life and the rest dimension of RQLQ two treatment methods were similar:but from the time of 4 weeks after treatment to 2 months after withdrawal,the trial group was obviously better than the control group,and the effect of improvement of the stage treatment of TCM was more lasting and much stabler.6.Evaluation of visual analogue score:Within each group,there was statistically significant difference in the mean score and each symptom score of VAS by comparing 5 evaluation points in pair(P<0.01).This result illustrated that both treatment methods could control the nasal symptoms and eyes symptoms.Comparison among groups there was statistically difference(P<0.05)in the nasal symptom score of VAS and the mean score of VAS between the two groups in each evaluation points;but in the eyes symptom score of VAS,there was no significant difference(P>0.05)at the time of 2 weeks after treatment,however,from the time of 4 weeks after treatment to 2 months after withdrawal,the eyes symptom score of VAS was statistically differences(P<0.05).The result reflected that the stage treatment of TCM was much better than the method of control group in terms of improvement totally,especially in in terms of improvement in nasal symptoms.Although at the time of 2 weeks after treatment,the improvement of both treatment methods was similar,from the time of 4 weeks after treatment to 2 months after withdrawal,the-stabilization of the trial group was higher than the control group.Gonclusion1.These two treatment methods can improve the quality of life and nasal symptoms and eyes symptoms of patients with AR of deficiency-weakness of spleen-qi,but whether in recent period or in long term,the stage treatment of TCM is much better,and particularly plays an important role in treating nasal symptoms.2.By the inference,the reducing of symptoms is in sync with improvement of quality of life.In other words,the symptoms are under control,in the meantime,the quality of life of the patients will be improved.3.The stage treatment of TCM has high safety,and is worth widely application and dissemination. |
