Objective:To observe clinical effect of distant and near acupoints combined with Acupuncture method of Ju Ci in the treatment of migraine without aura, and to provide a safe, simple, reproducible, economical and inexpensive acupuncture therapy for migraine without aura.Methods:Sixty-two patients with migraine without aura who met the inclusion criteria were selected as the study subjects.According to the random number table method, they were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group, with 31 patients in each group. In the treatment group, yuanjin acupoint giant thorn method was adopted. In the acute attack stage, the healthy side Feng chi,Shuai gu,Waiguan,Qiuxu,Zulinqi, and Taichong were selected.First, the healthy side Feng chi,Taichong,Zulinqi, and Fengchi were needled. In the remission period, acupoints were selected at the same time.Needle extraction after 30 minutes of acupuncture; The control group was treated with routine acupuncture, and the method of pingbupingxie was used in reference to the routine acupoint selection of migraine.Patients in the two groups were treated once a day,4 times a week, with acupuncture for 4 weeks.Visual Analogue Scale(VAS),Migraine Specific Questionnaire(MSQ),migraine symptom score, headache diary and 5-HT content in blood were recorded during the acupuncture and follow-up periods.Results:1.During the clinical study of this topic, there were 2 cases of abscission,1 case in each group, and a total of 60 patients completed the whole process of this study.2.Clinical efficacy evaluation and comparison:in the treatment group, there were 12 cases of significant efficacy,17 cases of effective efficacy, and 1 case of ineffective efficacy, with a total effective rate of about 96.67%.The total effective rate was 83.33%.There was a significant difference in overall clinical efficacy between the two groups(P<0.01).3.Comparison of VAS scores:the VAS scores of the two groups were significantly different before and after treatment(P<0.05),and the VAS scores of the treatment group were better than those of the control group(P<0.01).There were significant differences in VAS scores between the two groups 4 weeks after acupuncture and before treatment(P<0.05),and the long-term efficacy of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).4.Comparison of MSQ score:the MSQ of the treatment group showed significant differences in functional limitation, dysfunction, emotional influence and overall MSQ score before and after treatment(P<0.01).The functional limitations and MSQ overall score of the control group were significantly different before and after treatment(P<0.01),and the emotional impact was significantly different before and after treatment(P<0.05).In addition, the treatment group was superior to the control group in terms of functional limitation, dysfunction and overall MSQ score(P<0.01).Patients in the two groups were followed up for 4 weeks after acupuncture and compared with the MSQ before treatment(P<0.01).There were significant differences in functional limitations and overall MSQ score between the two groups(P<0.05),and the long-term efficacy of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).5.Comparison of pain symptom scores:the scores of pain symptoms in the two groups were significantly different before and after treatment(P<0.01),and the scores of pain symptoms in the treatment group were better than those in the control group(P<0.01).There were significant differences in pain symptom scores between the two groups(P<0.01),and the long-term efficacy of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).6.Headache diary score comparison:headache diary scores of the two groups were significantly different before and after treatment(P<0.01),and headache diary score of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(P<0.01).There were significant differences between the two groups(P<0.01)after acupuncture follow-up for 4 weeks and the diary of headache before treatment, and the long-term efficacy of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(P<0.01).7.Comparison of 5-ht content in blood:both groups of patients had significant differences in 5-ht content before and after intervention(P<0.01),and the treatment group was superior to the control group(P<0.01).The patients in the two groups showed significant difference in 5-ht content in their blood after acupuncture for 4 weeks compared with that before treatment(P<0.01),and the long-term efficacy of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(P<0.01).Conclusion:The results of this study suggest that the near-point acupoint giant thorn method and conventional acupuncture method can improve the short-term and long-term VAS scores,migraine-specific quality of life assessment questionnaire, pain symptom scores, headache diary, and patients with migraine-free migraine. It can improve the clinical symptoms of patients with migraine without aura, improve the quality of life of patients with migraine without aura, and the method of giant acupuncture is far superior to conventional acupuncture. After acupuncture treatment, both methods can increase the 5-HT content in the sthor-term and long-term patients with migraine without aura, and improve the patient’ s ability to suppress pain, and the method of acupuncture is better than conventional acupuncture. This may be one of the mechanisms of acupuncture treatment of migraine without aura.
