The purpose of this study is to investigate the antihypertensive effect, regularity and possible mechanism of Tiaodu Xifeng needling method by observing its influence on blood pressure, changes of clinical symptoms, changes of nitric oxide(NO)and endothelin(ET)levels in vivo through selective needling method in patients with hyperactivity of Ganyang Shangkang hypertension. The scientific and referential evidence will lay the foundation for further research. From October 2017 to October 2018,69 patients from three cardiology departments of Shijiazhuang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Hebei Province were selected and divided into two groups according to stratified random method: control group(drug group)and acupuncture group(acupuncture + drug group). The control group was given Levamlodipine maleate tablets(Xuanning)orally. In the acupuncture group,Shenting,Baihui,Dazhui,Fengchi,Quchi,Hegu,Zhongwan,Tianshu,Zusanli,Taixi and Taichong were treated once a day,5 times a week,2 weeks as a course of treatment for 4 weeks. The levels of NO and ET were measured before and after treatment. At the same time, the changes of blood pressure and TCM symptoms before and after treatment were recorded. All statistical data were analyzed by SPSS22.0software.The results showed that:1.The systolic and diastolic blood pressures in both groups were significantly lower after treatment than before treatment(p<0.05),while those in the acupuncture group were significantly lower than those in the control group(p<0.05).2.Comparedwith before treatment,NO level increased and ET level decreased in the two groups after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).Compared with the control group, the level of ET decreased significantly and the level of NO increased significantly in the acupuncture group(p<0.05).3.The effective rate of TCM syndromes in the acupuncture group was 83.3% and that in the control group was 70.0%.There was significant difference between the two groups(p<0.05).The effective rate of decreasing blood pressure in the acupuncture group was86.6% and that in the control group was 66.6%.There was significant difference between the two groups(p<0.05).In conclusion, the method of Tiaodu Xifeng needling can better reduce blood pressure and improve TCM syndromes than that of Western medicine alone. The changes of endothelin and nitric oxide content after acupuncture treatment are more obvious than that of Western medicine alone, suggesting that regulating the content of endothelin and nitric oxide, thereby improving vascular endothelial function, may be a potential mechanism of acupuncture for lowering blood pressure. In the course of treatment,no obvious adverse reactions were observed, and the curative effect was reliable, which embodied the advantages of acupuncture in lowering blood pressure and was worth popularizing widely.
