Purpose:This study is aimed to understand the willingness to participate in social first aid and analyze the influencing factors to explore the feasible strategies for social first aid development in China by conducting online and offline surveys of college students from 10 universities in Jiangxi Province,so as to provide a theoretical basis for the feasibility of social first aid becoming an important component of the emergency medical service system and provide ways and means for the relevant government departments to organize effective development of social first aid.Methods:1.Delphi Expert Consultation:After reading the article related to social first aid at home and abroad in depth, selecting interviews with some college students, clinical emergency experts, medical school teachers and local emergency public organization sponsors in Jiangxi Province to initially draft the questionnaire entries about the willingness research of college students to participate in social first aid in Jiangxi Province, and through two rounds of expert consultation and implementing pre-experiments to ensure the quality of the questionnaire, the final questionnaire was prepared.2.Cross-sectional survey method:College students from 10 universities in Jiangxi Province were chosen to conduct questionnaire survey from May 2018 to January 2019,and a total of 4005 questionnaires were collected to observe the way for college students to obtain first aid knowledge and the willingness to participate in social first aid.3.The college students surveyed were divided into three groups according to the background of first aid knowledge:general group(1274),first aid MOOC study group(1335),first aid student club group(1396).Analyzing the willingness of college students from different backgrounds to participate in social first aid and exploring the feasible strategies for social first aid development in China.4.Statistical analysis was performed on the collected data using SPSS 22.0software,methods including:general descriptive analysis,?~2 test,Pearson correlation, and ordered multi-class logistic regression analysis.Results:1.After two rounds of expert consultation, the final questionnaires included General Information Questionnaire 18 items and Willingness Questionnaire of College Students Participating in Social First-aid 31 items. The I-CVI of the questionnaire was 0.842 and the S-CVI was 0.918.2.The results showed that the way for college students to obtain first aid knowledge mainly came from Internet and school courses(54.58%),and less through television(15.36%),books(14.98%),family and friends(7.78%)and other channels(7.30%).3.Among all the college students surveyed, more than 90%are willing to learn basic first aid professional knowledge and master self-help mutual rescue skills;but only 22.30%said that they were very willing to participate in social first-aid and more than 50%students choose to be willing to implement social first-aid.4.Ordered multi-class logistic regression analysis shows that factors affecting the willingness of college students to implement social first aid are related to gender, place of origin, whether have heard of social first aid and the"good person exemption law",whether have attended first aid training and implemented first aid before.5.Through further analysis from different groups, first aid student club group has the highest willingness to participate in social first aid, first aid MOOC study group is the second, and the general group is the lowest.Conclusion:1.The survey questionnaire prepared in this study is rigorous and reasonable, and can be used to investigate the willingness of college students to participate in social first-aid.2.College students have a strong willingness to learn social first aid,but the willingness to participate in the implementation of social first aid is not high overall, and the willingness is affected by many factors.3.Young college students are potential forces for the implementation of social first aid,but they need to be organized and targeted to strengthen their knowledge transfer, ability training and policy support.
