Clinical Study On Improvement Of Pain Symptoms Of Knee Osteoarthritis By "Weizhong Cross" Needling Method

Objective : To observe the clinical effect of "Weizhong Cross" needling on knee osteoarthritis pain symptoms,and to open up a new way of treatment for osteoarthritis caused by aging of the population,we used "Weizhong Cross" needling method to treat knee osteoarthritis.Methods:104 patients were randomly divided into treatment group and conventional group according to the random number table method,52 cases in each group.After 9 cases fell off,47 cases in the treatment group and 48 cases in the conventional group were treated for 2 weeks respectively.The patients were followed up for 1 month after the treatment.The treatment group was treated with "Weizhong Cross" needling method,and the acupoints were selected: Weizhong acupoint,the upper,lower,left and right points of Weizhong acupoint,Neixiyan,Waixiyan(Dubi),Xizhong;the conventional group was treated with routine needling method,and the acupoints were selected as Xiyan,Liangqiu,Yanglingquan,Xiyangguan;the two groups were matched according to syndrome differentiation: deficiency of kidney and marrow type: plus Xuanzhong,blood stasis obstruction type: plus Xuehai,deficiency of Yang and cold coagulation type: plus Zusanli;routine disinfection followed by needling to get Qi,the Pingbu Pingxie manipulation was applied.After 30 minutes,the needle was retained and then removal of needles.Five times a week,a total of 2 weeks,followed up for 1 month after the treatment.The clinical symptoms of the two groups before and after treatment were compared and analyzed,including the quantitative score of osteoarthritis symptoms grading,VAS scale and simple McGill pain questionnaire scale.The changes of acupoint tenderness threshold in the two groups before and after treatment were statistically analyzed.Results:1.Clinical efficacy: After treatment,the total effective rate of the treatment group was91.49% and that of the control group was 83.33%.There was significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).2.Comparison of clinical symptoms score: In improving knee osteoarthritis symptoms,there was significant difference between the treatment group and the control group(P<0.01),indicating that the treatment group was better than the control group.In terms ofthe improvement of the simple McGill pain questionnaire and VAS scale,there was a significant difference between the treatment group and the control group(P<0.01),indicating that the treatment group was superior to the control group in the improvement of the simple McGill pain questionnaire and VAS scale.3.Comparisons of tenderness threshold at acupoints: Before treatment,there was no significant difference in tenderness threshold at Liangqiu,Neixiyan,Dubi,Xiyangguan,Yanglingquan,Weizhong,Xuehai,Zusanli,Xuanzhong between the two groups(P>0.05),which could be compared;after treatment,Liangqiu,Neixiyan,Dubi,Xiyangguan,Yanglingquan,Weizhong,Xuehai,Zusanli,Xuanzhong in the two groups could be compared.The threshold of acupoint tenderness was increased,and there was significant difference between the two groups before and after treatment(all P<0.05).The comparison between the two groups showed that the threshold of acupoint tenderness in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05),indicating that the treatment group was better than the control group in improving the threshold of acupoint tenderness.Conclusion:1.Both treatments can treat knee osteoarthritis,and the effect of "Weizhong Cross" acupuncture is better than that of conventional acupuncture.2.The "Weizhong Cross" needling method has a good effect on relieving pain symptoms in patients with knee osteoarthritis,and the recurrence rate of pain symptoms is low.3.The "Weizhong Cross" needling method should be standardized and suitable for popularization.
