Background and objectiveThe incidence of acne vulgaris is high and can affect people of any age,but it mainly affects young people, when the skin lesions occurring on the face,it can especially bring a heavy burden on the patients, spirit and psychology and may even lead to anxiety, depression and other adverse psychological states of the patients.,which will affect patient's life, study and work. Many seholars have studied the possible causes of acne, including eating habits, living habits, genetic factors and so on.Recently, the influence of acne on patients' mood is also a hot spot.At present, the judgment of acne lesions and the curative effect after treatment mainly depends on the inspection and palpation of clinical dermatologists.,which may be not objective enough.Different physicians may produce different classification results and choose different treatments for the same patient.Especially when there is only minimal changes, doctors may have problem in counting the lesion with their eyes. Also it is challenging for doctors to accurately judge the clinical effect of treatment. There are quantitative analysis of VISIA skin detector which has been reported to be effective in the evaluation of chloasma, acne scar and acne treatment. We conducted the following research. In order to explore the cognition of patients with acne, the influence of acne on patients, mental and psychological, and to find a simple method for evaluating acne lesions in clinic.MethodsDuring our research,we selected one hundred and thirty-nine patients with acne from May 2018 to December 2018 in our hospital and 46 healthy persons from the same period randomly. The latest acne grading method was used to grade these acne patients. The patients was asked to fill in the Acne Cognition questionnaire. After that,we used VISIA skin image analyzer to quantitatively evaluate and analyze the facial skin properties of both the acne patients and normal control group.Results1.There were statistically significant differences in spots, textures, and red areas between the acne patients group(trial group)and the normal control group.Compared with the healthy control group, there were significant differences in spots, textures and red areas in male acne patients, and in spots, textures, pores, ultraviolet spots, brown spots, red areas and purple spots in female acne patients. There were significant differences in spots, wrinkles, textures, ultraviolet spots, brown spots and red areas between male and female acne patients, while in male healthy subjects there were differences in spots, textures, pores, red areas and purple. The difference of VISIA data between patients with different severity of acne was mainly manifested in spots, textures, red areas and purple, among which there was significant difference between severe acne patients and mild acne patients.2.Pungent and greasy foods, which have been identified as aggravating factors for acne, have not received enough attention in acne patients,Nearly 50%of the patients intake moderate or more of these foods.About 57.6%of the patients think that acne has a negative effect on their appearance.63.2%of the people thought that acne had an effect on emotion.Only 21.6%of the people who had acne that will choose to seek treatment in formal institutions. The incidence of acne in the first and second degree relatives of acne patients was not high.Nearly half(48.2%)of acne patients are likely to suffer from mild to moderate depression due to acne.ConclusionsVISIA facial skin detector is expected to provide a simple,time-saving,economical and reliable scheme for the evaluation of acne clinical grading and acne treatment effect. We should strengthen the health education of acne patients(including diet,sunscreen,post-illness treatment, psychological counseling,etc.).We suggest early detection and treatment of acne lesions and psychological problems caused by acne and to give some reasonable suggestions in time.
