Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Qing-jie-ru-e Decoction in the treatment of acute palatal tonsillitis of wind-heat syndrome in children? Methods:The subjects were 72 children with acute palatal tonsillitis who met the diagnostic criteria of wind-heat syndrome and related indicators.By random number table method,37 cases were randomly assigned to the treatment group and 35 cases were randomly assigned to the control group.Detailed records of general information, symptoms and signs, peripheral blood leukocyte count,C-reactive protein, etc.,were filled in the self-developed case data collection form. The treatment group was given Qing-jie-ru-e decoction orally, while the control group was given xiao-er-yan-bian granule orally. Both groups were given symptomatic treatment when necessary. The main symptoms and signs of palatal tonsil congestion and swelling, fever and pharyngalgia before and after treatment were observed and recorded to evaluate the curative effect of the disease.Secondary symptoms such as nasal obstruction, runny nose, headache, body pain and cough were also taken into account to evaluate the curative effect of the disease.According to different data types and design types, different statistical description methods and statistical inference methods are used to analyze and process data by SPSS statistics 25.0 software. The main symptoms and signs before and after treatment, the overall evaluation of disease efficacy, the overall evaluation of TCM syndrome efficacy were obtained, and further inferences were made to draw conclusions. Results:In terms of fever symptoms, the average score of the control group was2.23 points after treatment, and the average score of the treatment group was 1.03 points after treatment,P < 0.05 through non-parametric test, and the difference was statistically significant. In terms of pharyngalgia symptoms, the average score of the former was 2.97 points, while that of the latter was 2.11 points,P > 0.05.There was no statistically differences between the two groups. From tonsil congestion, the average integral score of the control group was 2.74 points after treatment, and the average integral score of the treatment group was 1.84 points after treatment,P < 0.05,The difference was statistically significant. From the tonsil swelling, the average integral score of the control group was 2.17 points after treatment, and the average integral score of the treatment group was 1.03 points after treatment,P <0.05,with statistical significance. Therefore, the former is better than the latter in alleviating tonsil congestion, tonsil enlargement and fever, and has the same effect in the treatment of sore throat. The disease effective rate of the treatment group was 82.86% and that of the control group was 94.59%.The effective rate of TCM syndrome of the treatment group was 85.71% and that of the control group was 94.59%.The treatment group was better than the control group. In conclusion, the total clinical efficacy of Qing-jie-Ru-e decoction group is better than that of Xiao-er-Yan-bian Granule group. The former is better than the latter in alleviating tonsil congestion, tonsil enlargement, and fever, and has the same effect in sore throat. No adverse reactions were found in clinical observation.Conclusion:Qing-jie-ru-e decoction is effective in treating wind-heat syndrome of acute tonsillitis in children.
