Objectivee:To analyze the effect of double-row technique for treatment in the Cofield ? and ? rotator cuff injury. Methods:We collected 52 patients with Cofield ? and ? rotator cuff injuries from September 2016 to February 2018 at the Department of Bone and Joint Surgery,Yanbian University Hospital,Randomly divided into group A(single row suture treatment,25 cases)and group B(double row suture treatment,27 cases). There were 12 cases of Cofield type ? injury in group A and 13 cases of type ? injury. There were 11 cases of Cofield type ? injury in group B and 16 cases of type ? injury. All patients were given functional exercise after operation. The operation time, hospitalization time and postoperative complication rate of the two groups were analyzed. All patients were followed up.The shoulder function of the two groups before and 1,3,6 and 12 months after surgery was evaluated using the University of California Shoulder Score(UCLA)and the American Shoulder and Elbow Physician Association(ASES)system.Result:1.The incision in both groups was healed by first intention. There was no significant difference in the operation time(76.38 ± 9.82 vs 82.01±9.21)min and hospitalization time(7.66 ± 2.439 vs 6.44±1.580)between the two groups(all P>0.05).The postoperative complications in group A and group B were 5(20.0%)and 1(3.7%),respectively,with statistical difference(P<0.05).2.The preoperative UCLA scores of group A and group B were 11.16±2.247 points vs 11.33±3.05 points, and the ASES score was 52.33±4.67 points vs 54.25 ±5.01 points. There was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).3.The UCLA scores of group A were 11.83±2.5,13.41 ±2.064 and 22.50±2.93 at 1,3 and 6 months after operation. The B group was 15.75±2.37,16.91 ± 2.57 and 27.25± 2.98 respectively. There were statistical differences in the group comparison(all P<0.05).The ASES scores of group A were 66.75 ± 6.62,71.66±3.20 and 80.75 ±5.47,respectively,and group B was 73.16 ± 4.21,76.08 ± 3.57 and 88.75 ± 3.79,respectively.There were statistical differences in group comparison(P<0.05);4.The UCLA scores of group A and group B were 28.83 ± 4.23 and 31.83 ± 4.85,respectively.The ASES scores were 93.25±4.15 and 95.83 ± 4.82,respectively.There was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:The effect of double-row suture in the treatment of Cofield ? and ?rotator cuff injury is better than single-row suture in the early and middle stage. The postoperative complication rate is low, which is beneficial to tendon-bone healing and early rehabilitation.
