The total number of Chinese pediatricians has dropped from 105,000 to 100,000 in the past five years.And the shortage of manpower resources of pediatric medical staff make their health be concerned.But there are few research reports about the healthy condition of pediatric medical staff.This study conducted an analysis on the2018 physical examination results of pediatric medical staff in a three-A hospital in Changchun,to explore the physical health status of pediatric medical staff with different ages,genders,professional titles,degrees of education and so on in the overloaded work environment.This study will provide the relative functional department with a basis to establish a comprehensive health care management mechanism for pediatric medical staff.Objective:Through the physical examination reports of pediatric medical staff in the Three-A hospital in Changchun,the health status of pediatric medical staff was analyzed,and the health problems and hidden dangers common to pediatric medical staff in the hospital were found out to provide a basis for promoting the health management of pediatric medical staff.Methods:The full range of on-the-job pediatric medical staff(total of 612 people)with a working life of more than one year in a Three-A hospital in Changchun who participated in the 2018 medical examination were taken as the survey object.The survey included general demographic data and information on health status of health care workers.General demographic data included ages,genders,degrees of education and professional titles,working years and night shift frequency,and information on health status included BMI(Body mass index),chronic diseases,thyroid diseases,thoracic diseases,digestive system diseases and gynecological diseases.Data wereinput using Excel and SPSS 18.0 software was used for statistical analysis of the data.The detection rate of different diseases was analyzed statistically among different genders,ages,degrees of education,professional titles,night shift frequency and working years.Results:1.General conditions: in this study,a total of 612 health care pediatric medical staff were enrolled.Women accounted for 92.16% of the total number,in which the proportion of 31-40 years old young and middle-aged was 49.67%.Moreover,the proportion of doctors was 37.42%,and the proportion of nurses was 62.58%.For the degrees of education,the proportion of undergraduate and above staff was 92.65%.2.Diseases status: the top nine diseases of pediatric medical staff in the Three-A hospital in Changchun were hyperlipemia,breast hyperplasia,thyroid nodules,breast nodules,fatty liver,thyroid cyst,cervical cyst,pelvic effusion and overweight.3.The results of abnormal weight: the proportion of overweight was the most.There was a significance in the detection rate of overweight of pediatric medical staff among different genders,ages and professional titles(P < 0.05).There was a significance in the detection rate of obesity of pediatric medical staff among different genders and degrees of education(P < 0.05).There was a significance in the detection rate of underweight of pediatric medical staff among different ages,degrees of education,night shift frequency and working years(P <0.05).4.Results of chronic diseases: the top of detection rates chronic diseases were hyperlipidemia,fatty liver,hypertension,arrhythmia,anemia and diabetes mellitus in order.There was a significance in the detection rates of diabetes,hypertension,hyperlipidemia and fatty liver of pediatric medical staff among different genders,ages and working years(P<0.05),and the abnormal detection rate of males was higher than that of female workers.There was a significance in the detection rate of hyperlipidemia,hypertension and fatty liver of pediatric medical staff among different degrees of education(P<0.05).There was a significance in the detection rate of hypertension,fatty liver and diabetes of pediatric medical staff among different professional titles(P<0.05).The detection rate of hypertension of pediatric medical staff was significantly different among different night shift frequency(p<0.05).5.Results of thyroid diseases: the top detection results of thyroid diseases werethyroid nodules,thyroid cysts,thyroid tumors and thyroiditis in order.The detection rate of thyroid nodules of pediatric medical staff with different ages and working years was significantly different(P< 0.05).The detection rate of thyroid nodules and thyroid cysts of pediatric medical staff with different professional titles was significantly(P< 0.05).6.Results of thoracic diseases: the top detection results of thoracic diseases were bronchitis,ground-glass opacity and emphysema in order.The detection rates of bronchitis of pediatric medical staff were significantly different among different ages and working years(P< 0.05).The detection rate of emphysema of pediatric medical staff was significantly different among different genders,ages,professional titles and working years(P < 0.05).7.Results of digestive system diseases :the top detection results of digestive system diseases were hyperuricemia,gallbladder polyps,hepatic cysts and gallstones in order.The detection rate of hepatic cyst,gallbladder stone and gallbladder polyp of pediatric medical staff were significantly different among different ages and working years(P < 0.05).And the detection rate of hyperuricemia of pediatric medical staff with different genders were significantly different(P < 0.05);the detection rate of abnormal diseases in males was higher than that in females.The detection rate of hyperuricemia and gallbladder polyps of pediatric medical staff was significantly different among different professional titles(P< 0.05).8.Results of gynecological diseases: the top detection results of gynecological diseases were hyperplasia of mammary gland,nodule of mammary gland,cervical cyst,pelvic effusion and hyperplasia of uterus in order.The detection rates of pelvic effusion and uterine hyperplasia of pediatric medical staff with different ages and professional titles were significantly different(P< 0.05).The detection rates of cervical cyst and uterine hyperplasia of pediatric medical staff with different degrees of education were different among different night shift frequency(P< 0.05).The detection rates of pelvic effusion,uterine hyperplasia and cervical cyst of pediatric medical staff with different working years were significantly different(P< 0.05).Conclusions:The results of 612 on-the-job pediatric medical staff participated in the medical examination in 2018 were analyzed as follows:1.The top nine diseases with high prevalence of pediatric medical staff werehyperlipidemia,hyperplasia of mammary glands,thyroid nodules,breast nodules,fatty liver,thyroid cysts,cervical cysts,pelvic effusion,and overweight.2.The detection rate of overweight,obesity,diabetes,hypertension,hyperlipidemia,fatty liver,emphysema and hyperuricemia of pediatric medical staff was significantly different among different genders.3.The detection rates of overweight,underweigtht,diabetes,hypertension,hyperlipidemia,fatty liver,thyroid nodule,bronchitis,emphysema,hepatic cyst,gallstone,gallbladder polyp,pelvic effusion,uterine hyperplasia,and cervical cyst of pediatric medical staff were significantly different among different ages.4.The detection rates of underweight,obesity,hyperlipidemia,hypertension and fatty liver of pediatric medical staff were significantly different among the different degrees of education.5.The detection rates of overweight,hypertension,fatty liver,diabetes mellitus,emphysema,thyroid nodules,thyroid cysts,gallbladder polyps,hyperuricemia,pelvic effusion and uterine hyperplasia of pediatric medical staff were significantly different among different professional titles.6.The detection rates of underweight,hypertension,uterine hyperplasia and cervical cyst of pediatric medical staff were significantly different among different night shift frequency.7.The detection rates of underweight,diabetes mellitus,hypertension,hyperlipidemia,fatty liver,abnormal thyroid nodules,bronchitis,emphysema,hepatic cyst,gallstone,gallbladder polyp,hyperuricemia,pelvic effusion,uterine hyperplasia and cervical cyst of pediatric medical staff were different among different working years.
