Investigation Of Floating Population's Health Condition And Usage Of Basic Public Health Service Of Urumqi

Objective: Analyze the elements which exert influence on floating population's health condition and on the usage of basic public health service of Urumqi through investigating their basic situation,starting from the characteristics of demographic sociology,health condition and using situation of the basic public health service,based on which to propose countermeasures and suggestions to promote floating populations' health condition and improve the usage of public health service.Methods: Adopt the method“Probability-Proportional-to-Size Sampling” to conduct face-to-face interview for 5,000 floating people of 14 cities and prefectures of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.Use chi-square test to analyze the differences of floating people's health condition and usage of public health service among Urumqi and other 13 cities and prefectures.Use mono-factor analysis and logistic regressive to analyze the elements which exert influence on floating population's health condition and usage of basic public health service.Results:(1)Sociological characteristics of Urumqi's migrant people are similar to those of the national floating people.(2)The migrant people of Urumqi whose self-evaluations are“Healthy” account for 80.2-percent and those whose self-evaluations are “Basically Healthy” account for 5.7-percent.Main influence factors include age,migrant time and insured level of free medical treatment.(3)Morbidity rate of Urumqi's floating people within two weeks is 4.7-percent.(4)Urumqi's migrant people who know basic public health service account for 72.9-percent.Main influence factors include education level and application situation of social security cards.(5)Establishing rate of resident health record of Urumqi's migrant people is 52.6-percent.(6)The content of health education for the floating population in Urumqi is less than 60%.(7)Those who suffer chronic disease are less among Urumqi's floating people and the health management rate is relatively high after falling ill.(8)Children of Urumqi's floating people all have vaccination cards andthose who never miss any vaccination account for 92.3-percent.Main influence factors include age,nation and floating region.Conclusion: Situation of Urumqi's floating people sees annual improvement.Their self-evaluations are relatively fine but disease prevention awareness is insufficient.The overall situation of basic public health service usage is not good enough and health education and management are in need of strengthening.
