The Study Of The Alien Floating Population's Public Health Service And Demands In Gongshu District

To explore the factors of public health problem in floating population,to figure out the population's need and utilization of the public health service,and to provide a scientific basis for the improvement of this area's public health system and the assurance of the security of public health.It was a descriptive epidemiologic study,using multi-stage cluster random sampling.At first the town of Kangqiao in Gongshu district was selected as the first unit of sample,and then Xiyang and Wujiadun,two villages in Kangqiao,were chose as the second sample unit,where a survey of floating population was conducted.And the data was classified and analyzed by using SPSS15.0.The results show that:the ratio of men to women in the floating population is 1:0.89,and most of them are between the age of 20 and 30,accounting for 53.73%; Their educational level is relatively low,a large proportion are middle school, accounting for 58.11%;In the perspective of occupational distribution,the number of production staff,transport equipment operators and the service providers,represents approximately 41.49%,the rate of inoculated children is 89.48%,which is lower than that in resident population;about 31.46%of the people are without medical insurance, the two-week prevalence is 1.10%,while the visiting rate is only 81.8%;pregnant and lying-in women in floating population have a bad awareness of health care,only 41.10%once had Maternal health books and periodic health examinations.It is also showed that the floating population has a low awareness of health knowledge,which is related with many factors,such as age,educational level,and occupation.The conclusion is that there is a gap between the supply and demand of public health services' resource in the town of Kangqiao.Our immediate concern is to implement the effective intergration of basic medical and public health services,to define the public health services according to the demand,to increase the public health input,and to alleviate the shortage of public health.This study provided a scientific basis for the assurance the security of the public health in outflow and inflow area.Furthermore,because the floating population is a vulnerable group,therefore paying attention on their health status is a useful measure to reflect the society justice,and also can help improve floating population's level of heath awareness and health status.
