Study On Social Worker's Intervention In Enhancing Of Leukemia Child Caregivers' Social Support Network

With the steady development of social work in China,The government,the social organization,the mass media,and so on,are becoming more and more concerned about children with leukemia and their families.Problems faced by the caregivers of children with leukemia in China are not only a medical problem,but also a social problem.The caregivers of children are faced with the pressure of economy,emotion,life and so on.It is a special disadvantaged groups.It is very necessary to discuss the problem of the Leukemia child caregivers and their lack of satisfaction of actual living conditions.In order to establish their social care,and enhance their social support network,to better meet the needs of caregivers of children with leukemia,promote their network construction.Take XC street to care for the Severe children project as an example.Through interviews with caregivers of children with leukemia,the author studied the case of project service,and analyzed the current situation of support network for children with leukemia and the difficulties faced by them.As well as the difficulties of social workers' intervention in the process of supporting network construction by the caregivers,we try to explore several feasible paths for social workers to intervene in the network construction.The study found that high medical costs led caregivers to face a family economic load.In less developed areas,stigmatization leads to interpersonal isolation,and caregivers still face psychological and emotional support and relative lack of information support.However,the caregivers lack the ability to cope with the potential resources around them.In the process of intervention,social workers are also faced with problems such as the difficulties of enhancing the new community network,the welfare of children and the intervention predicament of medical security.Finally,based on the experience of local social work,this study extracts five suggestions on the construction of social support network for caregivers of children with leukemia.For example,strengthen "fellow traveler" new social support network.Second;multi resource linkage,the implementation of case management,"stigmatized" advocacy,to create a good community atmosphere and so on.
