ObjectiveTo observe the influences of the treatment with spleen invigorating theoryofthree-needleson spleen and stomach function and survival quality of cerebral palsy(CP)children,on the basis of literature research and clinical practice, and comparing with the effects of conventional acupuncture method,to provide theoretical and clinical basis for improving the quality of life of children with cerebral palsy.MethodsAll clinical cases in the study were from acupuncture clinic of Shenzhen Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital during June 2016 to December 2016.Under the premise of informed consent with the parents or other guardians,in accordance with the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria, the selection of 60 children with cerebral palsy were randomly divided into two groups, namely 30 cases in the research group were given spleen invigorating theoryofthree-needles,while the other 30 cases in the control group were given regular acupuncture method. The therapy was given once a day and 5 times a week with an interval of 2 days.A course of treatment was 6 months. The Spleen and Stomach Disease Patient Reported Outcomes(SSD-PRO)and Pediatric Quality Of Life Inventory Version 4(PedsQL4.0)were respectively used to assess the children's spleen and stomach function and quality of life beforeand after the treatment. Also the differences between two groups' changes were compared with statistical methods.ResultAccording to SSD-PRO,differences before and after treatment on the all four aspects scores of two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).The test of comparison on two groups after treatment shows that differences on physical domain, independence and environment fields were statistically significant(P<0.05),and difference on the psychology field was not statistically significant(P>0.05).According to PedsQL4.0,differences before and after treatment on the all four aspects scores of two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).The test of comparison on two groups after treatment shows that difference on physiological function was statistically significant(P<0.05),and differences on the emotional function, social function and school performance were not statistically significant(P>0.05).ConclusionThe SSD-PRO scores of two groups were reduced significantly after treatment, and the scores on physical field, independence field and environment field of the research group were better than the control group, which suggests that the two methods of acupuncture in children with spleen and stomach function and its related status has improved, and the treatment group curative effect is better than the control group. The PedsQL4.0 scores of two groups were elevated significantly after treatment, and the score on physiological function of the research group was better than the control group, which suggests that the two methods of acupuncture can improve patient's quality of life, and the curative effect of the research group in the aspect of physiological function is better than the control group.Clinical using the treatment with spleen invigorating theoryofthree-needles for children with cerebral palsy can significantly improve the symptoms of pixu(spleen deficient),regulate the overall state of the spleen and stomach related, improve the physiological function, improve their emotional function and social function, help their school performance,so as to improve their whole quality of life.
