Objective:According to the theory and clinical practice of traditional Chinese medicine and modern medicine, the clinical effect of Tengling Qingbi Zhitong decoction in treating patients with damp-heat blockage syndrome of rheumatoid arthritis was observed: the improvement rate of main related symptoms and signs,The improvement rate of biochemistry was determined by the improvement of ESR,CRP,HAQ scale,VAS score and DAS28 score. The possible mechanism of the improvement was explored through the examination of related indexes: it was related to reducing inflammation index and inhibiting disease activity. Methods:All the cases in this study come from the outpatients and inpatients of rheumatology department of affiliated hospital of Changchun University of traditional Chinese Medicine.Sixty patients with RA damp-heat blockage syndrome were selected strictly according to the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria, and the principle of random distribution was adopted. The patients were divided into treatment group(n=30)and control group(n=30).Both groups were treated with leflunomide 20 mg one time a day,and with chlorfenac acetate tablet0.1g one time a day.The treatment group was given Tengling Qingbi Zhitong decoctiononebag(100ml)two times a day, while the control group was given synovitis tablet 1.8g three times a day. After 14 days of continuous treatment, the changes of patients' condition and related laboratory examination indexes were recorded before and after treatment.Results:1.The total effective rate of the treatment group was 80.0%,and the total effective rate of the control group was 53.3%.Therewasnoobvious adverse reaction after treatment.Compared with the control group, the treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.05).2.Improvement of TCM symptom score: after treatment, there was a very significant difference between the two groups after treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).The treatment group was significantly better than the control group.3.Improvement of the number of joint pain, swelling and tenderness: there were significant differences in the number of joint pain, the number of swelling and the number of tenderness between the two groups after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).The treatment group was significantly better than the control group.4.The improvement of ESR and hs-CRP: there was no significant difference in ESR and hs-CRP between the two groups after treatment(P>0.05).5.The improvement of HAQ scale,VAS score and DAS28 score: there was significant difference in VAS score between the treatment group and the control group(P<0.05),and in the HAQ scale and DAS28 score, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).6.Comparison of effectiveness of DAS28 and evaluation of ACR in two groups:Compared with the effectiveness of DAS28 in the two groups, the curative effect of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group(P<0.05).Compared with the ACR evaluation in the two groups, the curative effect of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.The clinical curative effect of the treatment group treated with Tengling Qingbi Zhitong decoction for damp-heat blockage syndrome of rheumatoid arthritis was significantly better than that of the control group treated with synovitis tablet.2.The effect of this prescription in treating rheumatoid arthritis may be related to the reduction of inflammatory indexes and inhibition of disease activity.
