Objective:This study is to explore the risk factors of postoperative intracranial infection in patients of neurooncology department, for providing some reference for clinical workers to prevent and control postoperative intracranial infection. Methods:Retrospective analysis of 1848 patients who underwent operation from January 2016 to December 2016 in our neurosurgery department. We set 233 patients with postoperative intracranial infection as case group.Among the remaining uninfected patients,233 patients patients were randomly selected as control group based on the condition of the same period of operation, age, sex and clinical diagnosis. We accurately record the following items of the patients: gender, age, clinical diagnosis, medical history of the patients(whether or not with diabetes),Operation plan(whether or not emergency surgery),operation time(whether or not>4h),whether cerebrospinal fluid leakage after operation, whether indwelling external ventricular drainage tube,Whether the postoperatively albumin is less than 35g/L.Then using SPSS21.0 software analyze the influencing factors(Chi square test),Selecting the factors associated with intracranial infection and statistically significant(P<0.05).Import these factors of statistically different into two logistic regressin equation to do multivariate analysis(P<0.05),determine risk factors related to the intracranial infection after operation. Then the EXP(B)value(relative risk degree)was used to evaluate the relationship between the factors and postoperative intracranial infection, and to provide some reference for clinical prevention and treatment. Results:Among the 1848 patients,233 cases were associated with postoperative intracranial infection, and the infection rate was 12.61%.Univariate analysis showed that diabetes mellitus, operation time >4h,postoperative albumin <35g/L,postoperative cerebrospinal fluid leakage, postoperative external drainage and postoperative intracranial infection had significant difference(P<0.05),while operative plan was not related to postoperative intracranial infection(P=0.166).Multivariate analysis:the operative time ?Exp(B)=2.215? is the highest independent risk factors of postoperative intracranial infection.Cerebrospinal fluid leakage and intraventricular indwelling drainage tube are all the independent risk factors of intracranial infection.preoperative diabetes and postoperativeserum albumin level was statistically significant in univariate analysis, but in the multivariate analysis suggest that are not independent risk factors(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.operation time >4h,cerebrospinal fluid leakage and drainage of external ventricular drainage tube after operation are independent risk factors of intracranial infection.2.Combined diabetes and postoperative albumin <35g/L is an influential factor in intracranial infection, but it is not an independent risk factor. It may be associated with other factors that lead to intracranial infection.3.The mode of operation(emergency operation / elective operation)is not related to intracranial infection.
