Abstract/Summary:
Objective:In this study,by acupuncturing Lieque point at the left side of patients with cerebral infarction at the convalescence stage,the change of time domain indices(SDNN,RMSSD,PNN50)and frequency domain indicators(TP,LF,HF,LF/)of patients with heart rate variability(HRV)at different time points are observed and used to analyze the influence of acupuncture time on the patient’s HRV,thus providing clinical acupoint selection for acupuncture treatment ofautonomic dysfunction in patients with convalescent cerebral infarction.Method:Thirty patients from Department of Acupuncture of first Hospital affiliated of Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine(16 males and 14 females)who met the inclusion criteria for recovery from cerebral infarction were randomly selected.The age ranged from 45 to 80 years old,with an average age of 62.8 ± 7.65 years old,and a mean disease course of 45.8 ± 19.7 days.With the consent of the patients,they were acupunctured on the left side of the Lieque acupoint,and the Medilog AR12 dynamic ECG recorder was used to monitor the indicators of heart rate variability of them at different time.The specific time points were 5 minites before needling,qi-arrival of needling,hand-manipulating of needling(at the 10th minute of acupuncture),needle out(at the 20th minute of acupuncture),5 minites after needle exit.The data obtained were statistically analyzed by SPSS20.0 software,and the data of normal distribution are analyzed by ANOVA of single factor repeated measurement,the non normal distribution data needs to be analyzed after mathematical transformation by logarithm.HF,RMSSD and SDNN are converted into LgHF,LgRMSSD,and LgSDNN.Results:1.HRV time domain index:LgRMSSD,LgSDNN and LgPNN50 had no significant difference in numerical value at different time points compared with those before acupuncture(P>0.05).2.HRV frequency domain index:Compared with acupuncture before,TP does not change significantly in numerical value at all time points(P>0.05);LgHF significantly reduced while inserting needle,retaining needle,withdrawing needle,and 5 minites after needle exit(P<0.05);LF was significantly when the needle was inserted,retained,withdrawed,and 5 minites after needle exit;LogLF/LgHF was significantly increased while withdrawing needle.(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Acupuncture on the left Lieque acupoint has inhibitory effects on vagal activity in patients with convalescent cerebral infarction.2.Acupuncture on the left Lieque acupoint can adjust the nerve tension balance between sympathetic and vagal,and increase sympathetic nerve tension.
