Objective:To evaluate the influence of Taijiquan on Type 2 diabetes in the elderly and its effect on hemorheology, fasting blood glucose, lycosylated hemoglobin Ale,blood fat, blood pressure, sign, quality of life, and compare of the effects of Taijiquan and walking on the patients. To further explore the mechanism of Taijiquan on type 2diabetic patients, and provides a clinical basis for the promotion of Taijiquan, and provides theoretical support for a more perfect sports plan. Methods:A completely randomized clinical research method was implemented in the trial.82 eligible senile patients with type 2 diabetes were randomly assigned to a Tai Chi group and a walking group.Subjects in Tai Chi group which is guided by a professional teacher were required to practice Tai Chi for one hour every other day,36 sessions in 3 months. While subjects in walking group were asked for one hour regular walk every other day, also 36 sessions in 3 months. The two groups of subjects all maintained the same drug treatment and had health education and diabetes diet.Collection of patients' data before and after intervention, including sex, age, weight, height, waist circumference(WC),blood pressure, hemorheological Indexes, hematocrit, fasting blood glucose(FBG),blood fat, fasting plasma insulin(Fins),SF-36,Diabetes specific quality of life scale(DSQL),geriatric dpression scale(GDS).During the 12 week intervention, the blood sugar and blood pressure were measured at 7 to 8 a.m.every Friday morning.A total of 13 times was measured.Results:1.A total of 88 subjects who met the inclusion criteria were recruited in the study. They were randomly divided into two groups, eliminate cases of exfoliated cases,80 cases were included in the analysis,39 cases in Taijiquan group, and 41 cases in walking group. The baseline of the two groups was consistent and comparable.2.BMI and WC results:Group comparison: compared with before intervention, there was no statistical difference between the BMI value of Taijiquan group(P>0.05),and the BMI value of the walking group increased, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).The change of WC in Taijiquan group was statistically significant(P < 0.05),and the increase of WC in walking group was statistically significant(P<0.05).Comparison between groups: compared with walking group, there was no significant difference in BMI and WC between Taijiquan group and P group(P > 0.05).3.Biochemical index results:(1)compared with the blood lipid group, the blood lipid of Taijiquan group was lower than that before the intervention, the improvement of TC and LDL-C in Taijiquan group was statistically significant(P < 0.05),and there was no statistical significance in walking group(P > 0.05).Comparison between groups: compared with walking group, there was no significant difference in TC,TG and LDL-C between Taijiquan group and HDL-C group(HDL-C < 0.05).(2)HbA1c?Fins?FBG:group comparison: there were statistical differences in HbA1 c,Fins and FBG in Taijiquan group(P < 0.05),but there was no statistical difference between walking group HbA1 c and FBG(P > 0.05),The increase of Fins was statistically significant(P<0.05).inter group comparison:Compared with the walking group, there was a statistical difference between the two groups at the beginning of the eighth week(P < 0.05).With the increase of the Taijiquan exercise cycle, the difference between the two groups was increasing, and the difference between the eleventh weeks and the twelfth weeks was increased(P < 0.01).There was no statistical difference between HbA1 c and Fins(P > 0.05).4.The result of blood pressure: Intra group comparison:There was a significant difference in blood pressure reduction in Taijiquan group(P < 0.05),but there was no statistical difference in walking group(P > 0.05).Inter group comparison:Compared with the walking group, blood pressure started from eighth weeks. There was statistical difference between the two groups(P < 0.05),and the duration of the intervention prolonged.5.the blood spressure results:Intra group comparison:Compared with before the intervention, the hemorheological indexes of the Taijiquan group were significantly different(P < 0.01),the high shear viscosity of the whole blood, the fibrinogen, the erythrocyte aggregation index, the red blood cell rigidity index and the whole blood high cut statistics showed significant difference.(P < 0.05),there was no statistical significance in walking group.Inter group comparison:There was no statistical difference between the two groups(P > 0.05).6.GDS,SF-36 scale,DSQL:Intra group comparison:Compared with those before intervention, there was statistical difference between the two groups(P <0.05).Compared with the walking group, there was a significant difference between Taijiquan group(P < 0.05).Conclusion:1.Elderly patients with type 2 diabetes can improve BMI,WC,blood lipid, blood sugar, blood pressure, quality of life and mood in elderly patients with type 2diabetes by practicing Taijiquan.2.Taijiquan exercise can improve the blood rheology index of patients and promote the blood circulation metabolism of diabetic patients. It may be one of the mechanisms of its clinical effect.3.Taijiquan can improve blood circulation metabolism better than walking exercise,so it is suitable for clinical application.
