Correlation Of Serum Ferritin And Hepcidin In Elderly Patients With Chronic Heart Failure

Objective: By measuring the concentration of serum ferritin(SF)and hepcidin(Hepc)in elderly patients with Chronic Heart Failure(CHF)without anemia,and analyzing their correlation with main index,to explore its clinical significance.Methods: A total of 200 patients who accepted treatments in the Geriatrics and Cardiology department of the First Affiliated Hospital of School of Shihezi University from October 2015 to February 2017 were selected as the study subjects,whose age is not below 65-year-old.Acc0 ding to the ESC diagnosis and treatment of acute or chronic heart failure in 2016 guide Two physicians accoriding to the patients' medical history,symptoms,signs and auxiliary Examination,with the left ventricular ejection fraction is not above 50% as the chronic heart group,a total of 100 patients;the left ventricular ejection fraction is50% or more than 50% as the Control group,atotal of 100 patients.All of the patients were taken in the early morning of the day after admission,and the whole blood was extracted from the elbow vein in the early morning,and the heart color was improved in three days.Results:1.The heart failure group compared with the control group,two groups between body massindex(BMI),platelet count(PLT),glomerular filtration rate(GFR),serum ferritin(SF),and left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),cardiacoutput(CO)are significantly reduced in the heart failure group;While the hs-c-reactive-protein(hs-CRP),NT-pro BNP,hepcidin(Hepc),left atrial diameter(LAD),left atrial diameter(LVEDD),the difference are significantly(P<0.05).Between the two groups of age,gender,history of smoking,drinking,hemoglobin(Hb)and fasting blood glucose(TGB),Triglyceride(TG),totalcholesterol(TC),low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol(LDL-C),high-densitylipoproteincholesterol(HDL-C),complications(coronary heart disease,hypertension,type 2diabetes,cerebralinfarction and carotid atherosclerosis),there are no seatistically difference(P>0.05).2.Serum ferritin is positively correlated with BMI,PLT,LVEF and CO(P<0.05).3.Hepc is negatively correlated with GFR,LVEF and CO(P<0.05).4.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that SF is a protective factor for cardiac function in chronic heart failure(P<0.05);Hepc is a risk factor for cardiac function(P<0.05).Conclusion:Among the elderly patients,Serum ferritin(SF)is a protective factor for elderly patients with chronic heart failure.Hepcidin(Hepc)is a risk factor for elderly patients with chronic heart failure.
