ObjectiveThe project selected three groups as research object. The first one was made upof people who were male chronic mountain sickness,CMS patients permanentlyliving at an altitude of more than2500meters,the second included those who werehealthy male volunteers residing permanently in the altitude of2,500metersabove,and the third consisted of the male volunteers living on plains of an altitude of80meters.We measured their Hepc levels and selected their clinical data of serumferritin,SF、serum transferrin,TRF、hematocrit,HCT andhemoglobin,HGB in orderto analyze the former’s effect on the iron metabolism and blood cell generation of thethree groups, and to analyze the relationship of Hepc with HGB、SF、TRF and HCT.Method:Using ELSA determined the Hepc levels of the three above-mentionedgroups,with the second group including30persons and the other two having26members,and collect their clinical data of HGB、SF、TRF and HCT to make acomparison between each index of the three groups.Results:1. CMS and plateau group of serum hepcidin level compared with plain group isall reduced, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05); And the plateaugroup of serum hepcidin level compared with plain group is reduced, the differencewas statistically significant (P <0.05).2. CMS and plateau group of serum SF levelcompared with plain group is all increased, the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05); But the plateau group of serum SF level compared with plain group, thedifference was no statistically significant (P>0.05).3.CMS and plateau group ofserum TRF level compared with plain group is all increased, the difference wasstatistically significant (P <0.05); And the plateau group of serum TRF levelcompared with plain group is increased, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).4.CMS and plateau group of serum HCT level compared with plain group isall increased, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05); But the plateau group of serum HCT level compared with plain group, the difference was nostatistically significant (P>0.05).5.CMS and plateau group of serum HGB levelcompared with plain group is all increased, the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05); And the plateau group of serum HGB level compared with plain group isincreased, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05).6.Analyzed thecorrelations among Hepc、HGB、SF、TRF、HCT between the three groups. there waspositively correlation between Hepc and HGB levels in CMS group (r=0.509, P <0.05).The rest of values are not related.Conclusion:1.The HEPC of CMS group is lower than the Plateau group,it maybe have therelative due to the plateau group who live in low oxygen environment to increase theErythrocyte compensatory,HGB Synthesis increase the request of iron elevent.2.The TRF between3group,CMS and highland native group is higher thanplateau group. It explan the metabolic rate of iren for CMS group and highland nativegroup maybe higher than plateau group.3.The SF contant, the CMS is higher than the highland native group and plateaugroup noticeable. The iron storage capacity in CMS group which to mobilize andrelease maybe have another mechanism.
