Objective:To analyze the effect of acupoint permeation of Chinese medicine by medium-frequency electrotherapy in treatment of pediatric asthma in attack period, and to explore its functional mechanism during onset,so as to provide scientific guidance for the clinical treatment. Methods:A total of 80 children with asthma were enrolled in the Lanzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from July 2015 to January 2017,and were randomly divided into control group and treatment group according to admission order, with 40 cases per group. The patients in two group were given conventional western medicine therapy, and the treatment group was additionally implemented acupoint permeation of Chinese medicine by computer medium-frequencyelectrotherapy apparatus. The main symptoms scores and vital signs scores before and after 5 d of treatment were observed, and total scores, clinical outcomes and treatment safety in two groups were compared. In addition,The clinical efficacy of two therapies were evaluated.Results:(1)Before treatment,no significant between-group differences in the scores of cough, expectoration, wheezing, lung auscultation, and total scores were seen(P>0.05).After 5 d of treatment, the treatment group had higher improvement rate in scores of cough, expectoration, wheezing, and lung auscultation than the control group(P<0.05).(2)There was no significant difference in the total scores between two groups before treatment(P>0.05),but the total scores of both groups were lower than treatment beforeafter 3,5 d of treatment(P<0.05),and were significantly lower after 5 d of treatment than that after 3 d of treatment(P<0.05).(3)The clinical comprehensive response rates were 92.50%(37/40),and 97.5%(39/40),respectively,after 3 d of treatment in the treatment group, and were 85.00%(34/40),and 92.50%(37/40),respectively,after 5 d of treatment in the control group, which revealed that the treatment group had significantly higher overall response ratethan the control group after 3,5 d of treatment(P<0.05).(4)The safety of clinical treatment in both groups was high, but no significant difference was observed between two groups(P=1.000>0.05)Conclusions:Acupoint permeation of Chinese medicine by medium-frequency electrotherapy can effectively improve treatment efficacy, and alleviate the clinical symptoms such as cough, expectoration, panting, wheezing in lungs for children with asthma.
