Objectives The aims of the study are to investigate the status of self-compassion and quality of life among oncology nurses in third-grade class-A hospitals in Tangshan,to discuss the influencing factors of self-compassion level and quality of life,and to analyze the relationship between self-compassion and quality of life.The study can provide interventional suggestions for nursing managers to improve the mental health level and quality of life.Methods According to uniform inclusion and discharge criteria,totally 295 oncology nurses from third-grade class-A hospitals in Tangshan were conduced by questionnaire investigation from October 2016 to September 2017.Survey tools included self-designed questionnaire(include age,diploma,maritalstatus,ect),Related work situation questionnaire(include job satisfaction,pressure of work,ect),Chinese version of Selfcompassion Scale,social support revalued scale,nurses' pressure source scale,WHO quality of life scale.All data were established with EXCEL and analysised with SPSS17.0 package.The statistical methods included descriptive analysis,t-test,analysis of variance,multiple stepwise regression analysis and Pearson correlation analysis.Results 1 The total score of the level on the self-compassion in 282 oncology nurses was(89.91±6.85),the percentage of conversion of a score was 69.16%,the score of selfcompassion was at a moderate level.In all dimensions of Self-compassion,the score in Self-Kindness was(19.04±2.39),which was the highest score in all areas of Selfcompassion,the Common-Humanity was(11.46±1.80),it is the lowest score in all areas.2 The scores of the self-compassion of oncology nurses in different age,diploma,work experience,professional titles,personality type,the impact of the death of the patient on the nurses' mind,job satisfaction,social support with statistical difference.3 The factors that affect the self-compassion were included in the multiple regression analysis,the results showed that the main influencing factors were social support,job satisfaction,the impact of the death of the patient on the nurses' mind,diploma and work experience.4 Oncology nurses' quality of life score was(12.89±0.89),the score of social relationship was(14.98±2.19),which was the highest score in all areas,the lowest score in all areas was environment and the score was(11.27±1.16),except in social relationship,the scores of oncology nurses' quality of life were lower than norm,and the difference had statistical significance.5 The scores of the quality of life of oncology nurses in different age,night shift frequency,professional titles,personal monthly income,difficulties in communicating with patients and family members,job satisfaction,pressure of work,social support with statistical difference.6 Pearson correlation analysis showed that selfcompassion was positively correlated with quality of life(P<0.05).7 The factors that affect the quality of life were included in the multiple regression analysis,The results showed that the main influencing factors were self-compassion,pressure of work,difficulties in communicating with patients and family members,night shift frequency,professional titles,personal monthly income.Conclusions 1 The level of self-compassion was on the medium level of oncology nurses,the abality of self-compassion needs to be improved,the score in CommonHumanity was relatively low,it shows that oncology nurses were deficient in the cognition of self-compassion.2 The main factors influencing the oncology nurses self-compassion was diploma,work experience,job satisfaction,social support,the impact of the death of the patient on the nurses' mind.3 Oncology nurses had low quality of life,we should pay special attention to the working environment and psychological field of oncology nurses.4 The self-compassion of oncology nurses was positively correlated with quality of life,the higher the self-compassion,the better quality of life.
