Status And Relevance Of Oncology Clinical Nurses’ Compassion Fatigue And Humanistic Care Quality

Objectives:To understand and analyze the current situation and influencing factors of compassion fatigue and humanistic care quality in oncology nurses.To explore the correlation between compassion fatigue and humanistic care quality in oncology clinical nurses.It provided practical guidance and referenced for strengthening the compassion ability in oncology clinical nurses,improving the work enthusiasm of oncology clinical nurses,ensuring the quality of nursing,and establishing a perfect training system for the quality of nursing humanistic care.Methods:The multistage random sampling method was adopted to oncology clinical nurses who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria in ten 3 A-Grade general hospitals of Hebei Province for questionnaire survey.This research tools included the general data,Pro QOL and NCCAT.Statistical methods such as descriptive analysis,Independent-Sample t-test,analysis of variance,Multiple stepwise regression and Pearson corrective analysis were used.Results:A total of 516 oncology nurses were investigated in this study,and 500 valid questionnaires were collected,with an effective rate of 96.9%.Statistical analysis was conducted on 500 respondent,the results were as follows:1 The score of compassion satisfaction in oncology nurses was24.88±6.08;The score of secondary traumatic stress was 29.85±5.97;The score of burnout was 35.41±6.86.2 Influencing factors of copassion fatigue:The result of single factor analysis showed that education,employment way,title,work time of week,night shift,income satisfaction degree,humanistic care train,family care degree,colleagues care degree,compassion fatigue understanding degree,health and exercise influenced oncology clinical nurses’ compassion satisfaction significantly(P<0.05);age,education,title,work time of week,night shift,employment way,health influenced oncology clinical nurses’ secondary traumatic stress significantly(P<0.05);age,sex,education,title,post and compassion fatigue understanding degree influenced oncology clinical nurses’ burnout significantly(P<0.05).The result of multiple stepwise regression showed that education,title,income satisfaction,family care degree,compassion fatigue understanding degree,health,exercise,humanistic care concept and humanistic care perception influenced oncology clinical nurses’ compassion satisfaction significantly(P<0.05);education,employment way,health influenced oncology clinical nurses’ secondary traumatic stress significantly(P<0.05);sex,post,compassion fatigue understanding degree,humanistic care quality and humanistic care ability influenced oncology clinical nurses’ burnout significantly(P<0.05).3 The totle score of humanities care quality for nurses in oncology department was 116.86±19.85,average scoring rate was 80.59%.Dimension scores were: humanistic care perception score was 31.77±6.11,humanistic care ability score was 28.44±5.39,humanistic care concept score was27.44±5.34,humanities care knowledge score was 29.20±4.79.4 Influencing factors of humanities care qualityThe result of single factor analysis showed that education,employment way,title,income,work time of week,family care degree,colleagues care degree,compassion fatigue understanding degree and humanistic care train influenced oncology clinical nurses’ humanities care quality significantly(P<0.05).The result of multiple stepwise regression showed that education,title,family care degree,humanistic care train,compassion satisfaction and burnout influenced oncology clinical nurses’ humanistic care quality significantly(P<0.05).5 The result of Pearson correlated analysis showed that compassion satisfaction was positively correlated with humanistic care quality(P<0.01),correlation coefficient range from 0.477 to 0.693;secondary traumatic stress was negatively correlated with humanistic care quality(P<0.05),correlation coefficient range from-0.167 to-0.089;burnout was negatively correlated with humanistic care quality(P<0.01),correlation coefficient range from-0.513 to-0.337.Conclusion:1 The research showed that Oncology clinical nurse compassion satisfaction was in the low-medium level;oncology clinical nurse secondary traumatic stress was in the high-medium level,oncology clinical nurse compassion fatigue was in the high-medium level.As a result,nurses are at greater risk for empathy fatigue.The research showed that oncology clinical nurses had good humanistic care quality.Among the four study subjects of humanistic care quality,humanistic care knowledge had the highest score,humanistic concept got the lowest score.2 By improving the humanistic care knowledge,humanistic care ability,humanistic care perception and humanistic care concept of humanistic care quality in oncology nurses,we can achieve effectively reduce the risk of copassion fatigue;by increasing the level of compassion sattisfaction,reducing the risk of secondary trauatic stress and burnout can help to form a good quality of humanistic care quality.Then improve the quality of nursing care of oncology clinical nurses.
