The level of professional identity of secondary vocational pharmacy students(hereinafter referred to as pharmacy students),as the reserve personnel in the pharmaceutical industry,directly affects the student’s employment rate,affecting the pharmaceutical industry’s talent pool and team stability.The job internship phase is the key stage for the vocational identity of secondary vocational pharmacy students.Studying the change of occupational identification of secondary vocational students before and after internship and analyzing the possible reasons may help to guide the pharmacy students to establish a higher vocational identity effectively in colleges,enterprises and society.In this paper,occupational recognition scale of secondary vocational students and interviews were used to study the occupational identification of 256 interns in secondary vocational pharmacy in Yunnan Xinxing Vocational College.We analyzed the influence of 9 variables on occupational identity including whether different sexes,nationalities,majors,birth places,only children or not,reasons for choosing majors,whether or not they are student leaders,whether they received vocational counseling,whether there are relatives working in the pharmaceutical industry or not,and probed into reasons for influencing occupational identification in post internship.The conclusions are as follows:(1)After the internship of secondary vocational pharmacy students is over,the students’ recognition of students whose family income is less than 1000 yuan rises,and the occupational recognition of the rest students declines.In the specific dimension,there is significant difference in occupational cognition,professional emotion and career volition.The score after internship is significantly lower than before internship.There is a significant difference in occupational behavior and career expectancy,with a higher score after internship than before internship.(2)There is a significant difference in occupational identification of secondary vocational students in terms of sex,origin and family monthly income.The occupational identification of female is higher than that of male.The vocational recognition of rural students is higher than that of urban students,and higher for the students whose monthly family income is less than 1000 yuan than the students whose family monthly income is over 1000 yuan,with significantly increased occupational recognition after internship as well.(3)There are significant differences in occupational recognition of secondary vocational pharmacy students before and after internship regarding occupation cognition,occupational affection,career will.There are also significant differences in occupational behavior tendency and career expectation dimension regarding the place of origin,whether is the student cadre,whether has received the vocational counseling course,whether there are relatives working in the pharmaceutical industry or not.(4)The management and monitoring of student internship process directly affect students’ occupational identification.Students’ own conditions include whether the only child or not,whether they have rural residence,serving as student cadres,training in vocational counseling programs,whether there are relatives working in the pharmaceutical industry or not,all of which influence the change of occupational identification before and after the internship of secondary vocational pharmacy students.Finally,this paper discussed and analyzed the causes of the decline and fluctuation of occupational identification before and after the internship of secondary vocational pharmacy students,and put forward suggestions on how to enhance the occupational identification of secondary vocational pharmacy students from the perspectives of society,internship units,colleges and students.Society,enterprises,colleges and individuals should exercise their due responsibilities and work together to enhance the occupational recognition of secondary vocational pharmacy students. |
