Objective:This study aims to investigate and analyze the current situation of unsafe sex among secondary vocational students based on the Theory of Planned Behavior(TPB),and explore it’s influencing factors. Methods:Based on the theory of planned behavior, the questionnaire of Adolescent Reproductive Health Promotion was prepared through literature review, expert discussion and preliminary survey, and the reliability and validity of the questionnaire were analyzed. From March to May 2021,a stratified cluster of 4378students from two secondary vocational and technical schools in Wuhan were randomly selected for questionnaire survey. The influence factors of unsafe sex and behavioral intention were analyzed by unconditioned logistic regression, and the action path and effect of unsafe sex and behavioral intention were determined by structural equation model.Results:(1)A total of 4282 valid questionnaires were obtained, with an effective rate of 97.81%.1904(44.50%)secondary vocational students had unsafe sex intention,177(4.13%)secondary vocational students had sex,103(2.41%)secondary vocational students had unsafe sex.(2)Male students and secondary vocational students with living expenses greater than 600 yuan had higher intention of unsafe sex(OR=2.19,95%CI:1.90~2.52;OR=1.19,95%CI:1.02-1.39);Secondary vocational students with knowledge of sexual and reproductive health had lower intention of unsafe sex(OR=0.67,95%CI:0.55~0.82);The higher the scores of subjective norms and perceived behavioral control, the higher the intention to have unsafe sex(OR=2.87,95%CI:2.58~3.20;OR=1.37,95%CI:1.25~1.50).(3)Male students had a higher risk of unsafe sex than female students(OR=4.62,95%CI:2.61-8.16);The higher the attitude and subjective norm scores, the more likely to have unsafe sex(OR=1.52,95%CI:1.24~1.87;OR=1.59,95%CI:1.35~1.87).(4)Both subjective norms and perceived behavioral control were positively correlated with behavioral intention, and the correlation of subjective norms(r=0.62,P<0.01)was higher, followed by perceived behavioral control(r=0.07,P<0.01).(5)The results showed thatχ~2/df=5.84,CFI=0.94,TLI=0.93,RMSEA=0.03,which basically met the requirements and the model fit well.Behavioral attitude(β=-0.04,P<0.05),subjective norm(β=0.70,P<0.001),perceived behavioral control(β=0.07,P<0.001)had significant direct influence on behavioral intention;Behavioral attitude(β=-0.01,P<0.05),subjective norm(β=0.24,P<0.001)and perceived behavioral control(β=0.02,P<0.001)had significant indirect effects on unsafe sex.Perceived behavior control had no significant direct effect on unsafe sex(P>0.05).Behavioral intention(β=0.34,P<0.001)had a significant positive direct effect on unsafe sex.The structural equation model based on planned behavior theory explains 88.70%of the variance variables of unsafe sex among secondary vocational students. Conclusion:The reported rate of sex in Wuhan is relatively low but the proportion of unsafe sex is relatively high.Boys are more likely to have unsafe sex.Subjective norms have the greatest effect on the intention and behavior of unsafe sex, suggesting that it is necessary to strengthen social, school and family sex education for secondary vocational students, supplemented by peer education, and take corresponding behavioral intervention measures for different student groups to reduce their sexual behavior, especially the occurrence of unsafe sex.
