Objective: To investigate the current status of OR nurses' job stressors,work-family conflict and stay intent in Anhui province,and to analyze the impact of OR nurses' job stressors and work-family conflict on stay intent which providing reliable basis for OR nursing managers,improving the retention willingness and stabilizing the team stuff.Methods :Study one:In order to analyze the factors influencing the retention intention of nurses,self-made questionnaires were used to investigate 306 OR nurses in four Grade ? A hospitals in Anhui province from December 2016 to January 2017.The survey tools included general data questionnaire,work-family conflict scale,nurses' intention for retention scale and nurses' work pressure sources scale.Data typed-in and analyzed by using SPSS22.0 statistical software package.Descriptive analysis was performed using percentages,mean,standard deviation,median and quartile.Univariate analysis was performed using independent sample t test,variance analysis,rank sum test and Pearson correlation analysis.Analyze the factors influencing the retention intention of nurses.Study two:In order to qualitative research on active factors of retention in the OR nurses,objective sampling method was used to investigate OR nurses of Grade ? A hospitals in Anhui province from May 2017 to July 2017.It adopts the method of semi-structured interview and field observation.The interview content was analyzed by Colaizzi content analysis method.Results :Study one:The total score and average score of job stressors were(95.93±18.34)and(2.74±0.52).The total score and average score of work-family conflict were(57.06±9.68)and(3.17±0.54).The total score and average score of stay intent were(16.96±3.35)and(3.39±0.67).The multiple regression analysis showed that the OR nurses' stay intent would be influenced by the job title,income satisfaction,nursing profession and work problems,management and interpersonal problems,stress based work family conflict,time based family work conflict.Study two: The results of qualitative research indicate that Positive factors affecting the retention intention of OR nurses including good doctor-patient relationship,onions relationship,professional benefit,Sense of professional value and positive attitude.Conclusion:OR nursing managers should take measures through individual,family and organization to improve the retention of nurses in the operation room.The managers should give full consideration of three aspects from individuals,families and organizations.Through responding appropriately to improve the retention of OR nurses to maintain the stability of the team and improve the quality of service,which could provide effective guarantee for safe and efficient operation.The results of qualitative research showed that the factors influencing the retention of OR nurses mainly include good doctor-patient relationship,harmonious interpersonal relationship,professional benefit,professional value and positive attitude.The advantages of OR nursing including avoid contact with patients' families,convenient for medical treatment,stable work,and simple working environment and these positive factors were identified and perceived by most OR nurses that effected their retention intention.
