Background According to the World Health Organization statistics,50%-80% cancer patients have different degrees of pain in the late stage of the disease, and pain has become one of the main reason affecting the life of patients with advanced tumor,Therefore, analgesic treatment is an important part in the treatment of cancer patients, which can not be ignored. At present, the treatment of cancer pain is mainly based on the "three steps" therapy recommended by National Comprehensive Cancer Network(NCCN),and oral medicine is the first choice. If the analgesic drug is used correctly,90% of the pain can be effectively relieved. But due to subjective factors, objective factors and other factors, few patients with cancer pain will choose analgesic drugs, and the control effect of cancer pain is not satisfactory, many patients are still suffering from pain. Therefore,in order to improve the quality of life of cancer patients,it is necessary to manage the pain in cancer patients effectively, and a comprehensive investigation and analysis for the current status and influencing factors of medication compliance in cancer patients is the basis for cancer pain management.Purpose(1)Investigate the current status of cancer pain control and medication compliance in cancer patients;(2)explore the correlation between the control effect of cancer pain and the status of medication compliance;(3)analyze the factors affecting the medication compliance of patients with cancer pain;(4)propose the intervention strategies for improving the medication compliance on the basis of evidence and influencing factors. Methods This study is a descriptive research that adopts convenience sampling method to select cancer patients hospitalized from June,2016 to December,2016 in a major hospital in JingZhou as the object of study, these patients are pathologically diagnosed with pains of different degrees and have taken analgesic drugs for more than one month. And then,self-designed information questionnaire,Patient-reported Outcomes Scale, medication compliance questionnaire and medication status questionnaire are respectively used to investigate the general information, the control effect of cancer pain, the status of medication compliance and the possible factors influencing medication compliance in patients.Next,Pearson's analysis is applied to explore the correlation between the effect of cancer pain control and medication compliance, and Logisitic regression is used to analyze the influencing factors of medication compliance in cancer patients.Results(1)In this study,86 patients have good effect of pain control, and the pain assessment is painless, accounting for 36.44%(86/236);82 patients have mild pain, accounting for 34.75%(82/236);43 patients presented moderate pain, accounting for 18.22%(43/236);25 patients have severe pain, accounting for 10.59%(25/236).Among 236 patients,98 patients with good medication compliance can take the analgesic drugs in proper time and amount, accounting for 41.53%(98/236),138 patients with poor medication compliance do not take the analgesic drugs in proper time or amount, accounting for 58.47%(138/236),of which 76 patients do not take medicine in proper amount, accounting for 55.07%(76/138),62 patients do not take medicine in proper time, accounting for 44.93%(62/138).(2)Pearson's analysis shows that, the control effect of cancer pain is positively correlated with the compliance of patients(r=0.786,P<0.05).(3)According to Logisitic regression analysis, age, income, degree of disease, education level, living condition, medical payment mode, knowledge of cancer pain, medication belief and medication behavior are influencing factors of medication compliance in cancer patients. Conclusion The control effect of cancer pain and the medication compliance are poor in the cancer patients, most cancer patients have different degrees of cancer pain, only 41.53% of them can take the analgesic drugs regularly according to medical advice. The control effect of cancer pain is positively related to the medication compliance of patients, namely patients with good medication compliance often have good effect of cancer pain control, otherwise poor.In addition, the medication compliance of cancer patients is influenced by many factors, therefore, comprehensive intervention strategies should be taken on the basis of evidence and influencing factors so as to improve medication compliance of patients with cancer pain, control the cancer pain effectively and improve the quality of life of cancer patients.
