Analyse The Influencing Factors Of Patients' Compliance

Objective: to investigate the factors that influence the compliance of patientswho suffer from periodontitisMethods:1) 93 patients with chronic periodontitis who had been in supportive periodontal therapy(SPT) were involved and divided into two groups(complete compliance and erratic compliance) depending on the degree of their compliance.2) The following indexes were recorded: DE-S, CE-S, PLI, BOP, as well as a questionnaire which enable us to analyse the influencing factors.Results: The patients' congentive degree on periodontitis is of the mostimportant to their compliance, while other factors, such as gender, age, income,paying manner, educational background and so on, perhaps have little effects oncompliance.Conclusion: Dentists should realize the importance and necessity of oralhygiene instruction( OHI)and try their best to improve the congentive degree.This leads to a strengthened compliance and therefore a long-term stability ofmanagement effects.
