Study On The Management Efficiency Of Under-forest Economy Of Farmers In Wenshan

Wenshan is well known for its reputation as "the hometown of radix notoginseng".It is also an important "forest city" in the southeast of Yunnan province.The forest coverage rate reaches 50.8%.With the advantage of forest ecological environment and forest resources,the undergrowth economy carries out the compound management of agriculture,forestry,animal husbandry and other projects on the forest,realizes the unity of protection and development,and obtains the management effect of profit in the near future and forest in the long run.Therefore,the city with rich forest resources pays more and more attention to the undergrowth economy,and the study on the management efficiency of under-forest economy has become a new topic.Based on the perspective of farmers,this study conducted field research on the under-forest economic development in Wenshan,obtained first-hand data,took sample farmers as the research object,used DEA model(data envelopment method)and Tobit regression model to calculate the under-forest economic operation efficiency of sample farmers,and analyzed the factors affecting the operation efficiency.The main work and results of this research are as follows: first,according to the field research,to understand the basic situation of economic development in Wenshan forest,including the main development mode,development scale,etc.Second,according to the questionnaire data,the operating efficiency of all farmers,farmers with new type of operation entity and farmers with separate operation is measured.The results show that the overall level of economic operating efficiency of the sample farmers in Wenshan state is not high,and the value of comprehensive technical efficiency is 0.425.Thirdly,the paper analyzes the factors that affect the economic efficiency of farmers in Wenshan.The calculated results of Tobit regression model showed that the age of the head of household and the slope were significantly negatively correlated,the education level of the head of household,the social position of the head of household,irrigation conditions,forestry training,production technical guidance,and the income level of rural residents were significantly positively correlated,and the forest land circulation and disasters failed the significance test.Based on the above calculation and analysis,countermeasures and Suggestions are put forward to improve the efficiency of farmers' under-forest economic management,which mainly include strengthening the propaganda at the grass-roots level,defining the priority areas for development,improving supporting policies,encouraging the establishment of new operating entities,appropriately scale operation,expanding financing channels,and overcoming the ideological constraints of smallholders.
