With the increasing contradiction between economic growth and environmental pollution,China’s forestry industry is in a critical period of strategic transformation.Since the reform of collective forest right system,forest full of new vitality,forest economy as a new mode of forestry management,conform to the natural law of the coordinated development of forestry resources and ecological environment,effectively consolidate the achievements of the reform of collective forest right system.Located in the south of China’s three major forest areas,Liuyang is a traditional forestry county in Hunan province,which is one of the most successful areas of collective forest tenure reform.Under this background,it is of great significance to carry on the positive research to the Liuyang area of Hunan province.Farmers’ participation in forest economy is affected by many different factors,this study of 117 households in Liuyang area of Hunan Province,a questionnaire survey to collect the required data,and based on the data,using logistic regression model the influence factors of farmers’ participation in forest economy behavior the empirical analysis,found that farmers’ age and education level.And the non farm income have significant effects accounted for ratio,whether enjoy subsidies and whether to join the forestry cooperatives of these five factors on the farmers’ participation behavior.Finally,based on the analysis results,the paper gives some suggestions on how to better guide farmers to participate in the forest economy and how to better promote the development of forest economy industry.
