Research On Fisheries Competitiveness In Anhui Province

Fisheries,especially freshwater fishery,as an important part of agriculture in China,is one of the basic industries to promote rural economic development.As one of the major producing provinces of freshwater products in China,Anhui Province not only has the freshwater surface in the province,which ranks second in the country,but also produces the fourth largest freshwater product in the country.Although Anhui province is a resource-rich province of aquatic products,it is not a strong province of aquatic products.So how competitive is the fishery industry in Anhui province?Has the competitiveness of fisheries in Anhui province improved in the past decade?This is a problem worth discussing.The study on the competitiveness of inland freshwater fishery industry has great theoretical value and practical significance for the development of fishery economy in Anhui Province and the improvement of fishermen's living standards and quality of life.Based on the theory of international competitive advantage,this paper first defines the concepts of fishery,freshwater fishery and regional fishery industry competitiveness;Then,based on the theory of diamond model,the present situation of Anhui fishery industry is described from six aspects:factors of production,market demand,related and supporting industries,market structure and competition,government factors and opportunity factors.The present situation of fishery industry in Anhui province is compared with that in Hubei and Jiangxi provinces.Then,from four aspects:production conditions,demand conditions,related industries and supporting industries,and scientific and technological innovation promotion ability,the evaluation index system of fishery industry competitiveness was established.Finally,using SPSS 22.0 software,the comprehensive score and ranking of fishery industry competitiveness in 15 provinces and cities from 2008 to 2017 were empirically analyzed by factor analysis.The research results show that the fishery competitiveness of Anhui Province is at a medium level in the 15 inland provinces that participated in the evaluation,and it has high resource endowment and location advantages,but there is a relative shortage of advanced production factors such as talents,science and technology;The demand for aquatic products is large,and the products are mainly fresh aquatic products;Aquatic precision processing industry and aquatic circulation industry have developed backward;Industrial supporting facilities need to be strengthened and the overall market share needs to be improved;The development of fishery in Anhui province has gradually attracted the attention of the government and faces important development opportunities.Based on the findings of the previous study,It puts forward suggestions on introducing and protecting germplasm resources,improving fishery infrastructure,building fishery brands and expanding fishery leading enterprises,promoting fishery science and technology innovation,vigorously developing related and supporting industries,broadening financing channels,and improving relevant laws and regulations.
