| Canine urolithiasis can cause dysuria,hematuria,even renal failure&death.The 53 cases of canine urolithiasis from 4 animal hospitals of He Fei City in this paper(including own cases)were statistical inducted&summarized,to improve the level of diagnosis&treatment.The 53 cases from 2015-2018 were confirmed by finding stones with B-Ultrosonography or X-Ray or by inspecting stones in the urine directly,&all patients materials of basic information,clinical&lab diagnosis were completed.According to age,gender,breed,stone site,diet,imagine&lab examination,treatment,curative effect&whether relapse or not,all cases were statistical inducted&arranged.In 53 cases,the highest morbidity was age 3-10,as 73.58%.The morbidity between genders was 1.52:1.Pastoral dogs,schnauzers and teddy are the most common breeds,accounting for 43.40%,13.21%and 13.21%respectively.Most of stones were located in urine bladder.Among the 53 cases:X-Ray was performed in 47 cases,29 cases were found bladder stones,13 cases were found bladder and urethral stones,3 cases were found urethral stones,and 2 cases were found kidney stones;B-Ultrasonography was performed in 23 cases,17 cases were found cystolith,2 cases were found urethral calculi,2 cases were found cystolith and urethral calculi,1 case was found renal calculi accompanied by ureteral calculi,and 1 case was found kidney,cystolith and urethral calculi;Routine urinalysis was performed in 5 patients,and 80%of the dogs showed increased white blood cells,red blood cells and urine protein,indicating urethral inflammation,accompanied by hemorrhage,and possible renal function injury;Urine sediment was examined in 3 patients,calcium oxalate crystals were observed in 1 patient,magnesium ammonium phosphate crystals&white blood cells in 1 patient,red blood cells&tumor cells in 1 patient;Blood routine examination was performed in 25 patients,among which,20 patients had WBC increased,indicating inflammation in the body and possible bacterial infection;2 patients had RBC decreased,indicating anemia;5 patients had HCT decreased,indicating possible anemia;7 patients had HCT increased,indicating dehydration;Blood biochemical analysis was performed in 13 cases,of which 12 dogs were examined for liver and kidney function and 1 dog for kidney function.Eight dogs had abnormal renal indexes,including 4 dogs with elevated BUN and 4 dogs with elevated BUN and CREA.Liver function indicators were abnormal in 5 dogs,and only ALB was decreased in 1 dog,suggesting liver synthesis function was impaired;Elevated ALT and AST in 2 dogs suggested liver cell damage and hepatic enzyme leakage;Elevated ALKP in 2 dogs indicated a possible bile duct blockage;Two dogs had blood gas tests,and one had respiratory acidosis with alkaline metabolism.Bladder calculi were confirmed in 33 cases,urethral calculi in 5 cases,and mixed calculi in 15 cases(including 13 cases of mixed bladder calculi,1 case of mixed ureteral calculi in the kidney,and 1 case of kidney,bladder and urethral calculi).Among the 32 cases,27 cases were cured,4 cases relapsed,1 case had poor prognosis,and the cure rate was 84.38%.Conservative treatment was used in 11 cases,5 cases were cured,6 cases were recurrence,and the cure rate was only 45.45%.Treatment was abandoned in 10 cases.The occurrence of canine urolithiasis is related to age,gender,diet,drinking water and other factors.X-Ray and B-Ultrasound combined diagnosis is helpful to improve the accuracy of urolithiasis diagnosis.Urine and blood tests are also necessary to assist in the diagnosis of urolithiasis,to assess the physical condition of the affected dog,and to assist in the formulation of treatment plans.Compared with surgical treatment,conservative treatment has lower cure rate. |
