Ramie,also known as "Chinese grass",a traditional crop in China,has a long cultivation history.However,in recent years,due to the increasing manual cost and low mechanization level of ramie,the planting area of ramie has been reduced dramatically,making the ramie industry facing a serious crisis.China began the research and development of ramie peeling machines in the 1970 s,and has developed more than 40 kinds ramie decorticators since,but only less than ten kinds could be applied to practical production and were finally abandoned for various reasons.It is found through investigation that the problems with existing ramie flax machines are mainly low efficacy,large labor intensity and low flax peeling quality.Based on the analysis of various kinds of ramie peeling machines and the actual agricultural needs of ramie farmers,from the angle the mechanical properties of ramie itself,a ramie peeling methods featuring longitudinal splitting and transverse lifting is proposed and a lifting-type ramie decorticator is designed in the paper,with finite element analysis of the core components conducted,the mainly research conclusions as follows:1.The constitutive relationship and process performance of all parts have been obtained through the measurement of the basic overall dimensions of ramie and tensile,compression,bending and twisting experiments on the ramie stalks,xylem and phloem layer,laying a theoretical basis for the realization of a lifting-type ramie peeling mode and prototype design.2.The structure design of the frame,transmission mechanism,guide mechanism and compaction mechanism has been completed,the 3D model of every part drawn,the assembly of the machine completed,virtual prototype of the lifting-type ramie peeling machine developed,theoretically proving the feasibility of the lifting-type ramie peeling method.3.Tests of such core components as combined ramie splitting tools,ramie lifting cutter arms and bone scraping knife have been performed,the optimum design of each part completed,finite element analysis of each part made using Solid Works Simulation,the resulting showing that the stress,strain,displacement and safety factors meet the design requirements.4.According to the requirements in the lifting ramie peeling scheme,an automatic ramie lifting and bone scraping system has been design,the model selection of the controller,drive,inverter and photoelectric switch hardware completed,a set of automatic ramie lifting and bone scraping control system designed based on the requirements for the action of each part,with PLC controllers as the core.5.The prototype machine was manufactured and did experiments.Experiment results showed that productivity of this machine is 12 kg/h,fiber percentage of fresh ramie stem is 4.68%,and the percentage of ramie impurities content is 1.32%. |
