The urban commercial complex is a form of architecture that covers multiple functions in the city,including commercial,residential,office,leisure and entertainment,hotels,exhibitions,catering,and other format functions.It can be summarized as a multi-function,high efficiency,complex and unified Organic combination.With the rapid development of social economy and the improvement of people's living standards,the functions carried by urban complexes in cities are becoming more and more abundant,and the openness of their public spaces gradually assumes the role of feeding back the lack of urban space.When the urban macro-narrative construction is gradually replaced by refined design,the planning and construction of urban commercial complexes have also accompanied the urban construction,and new changes have occurred.Once appeared too focused on economic benefits,neglected the place spirit of public spaces,and regarded urban commercial complexes as urban landmarks,leading to the phenomenon of the same shape,low humanity,inadequate public space components,lack of infrastructure,unbalanced scale,blind greening,and lack of regional characteristics.Which will be changed by the implantation of new construction concepts oriented to "human needs".This article takes environmental behavior as the theoretical basis for research.It sorts out the public space by combing the types,characteristics and functions of public spaces in commercial complexes,and uses questionnaires and field observations as the main research methods to discuss the public 's Various behaviors and psychological needs,by analysis of the survey results of the questionnaire,Understanding users' use of public spaces,Obtaining the advantages and disadvantages of the public space design of the existing commercial complex and the development trend of construction,deriving the constituent elements and construction principles of the public space of the commercial complex.Finally,starting from the functional practicability,environmental pleasantness,domain,privacy,and publicity of environmental behavior,combined with the five elements of public space transportation organization,scale,green landscape,interface,and regional characteristics,the public space of commercial complex is reshaped Design,to stimulate and guide consumers 'behavior from the visual perception and tactile aspects of environmental behavior,enhancing consumers' sense of interaction and experience in public spaces,and ultimately form a commercial complex public space construction strategy in order to create a Modern lifestyle,public space in a commercial complex that truly meets consumer needs.
