With the expansion of the scale of the population with autism and the gradual growth of the age of the population with autism,a large number of the population with autism are facing the problems of rehabilitation intervention and life employment.In addition,due to the gradual increase of social attention to the welfare of the disabled,the number of autism rehabilitation training institutions in major cities in China has increased significantly in recent years,providing more patients with rehabilitation intervention and vocational training opportunities.However,at present,the research on building space environment of rehabilitation training institutions for autistic patients in China is still in its infancy,and the research on space environment of vocational training institutions for the needs of older and adult autistic patients and their families is in a basic blank state.Therefore,from the perspective of architecture,this paper expounds and analyzes the physiological and psychological features of the elderly autistic patients and their relatives' physical and mental needs.Through on-the-spot investigation and online questionnaire survey,the physical and mental characteristics and actual needs of users are combined with the theory of building space.According to the above research,we can make a reasonable design strategy for the two important functional spaces of life and vocational training for the elderly autistic vocational training institutions.The main research contents are as follows: 1.Based on the field investigation of the relevant vocational training institutions for the elderly autistic patients in Wuhan,we have a deep understanding of the current situation of the building space environment of the relevant institutions for the elderly autistic patients in Wuhan,which provides a practical basis for the questionnaire design and the research on the design strategy of the building space environment.2.To investigate the guardians of the elderly autistic patients and the staff of the institution,and to make statistical analysis of the results of the questionnaire,so as to fully understand the unique preferences of the elderly autistic patients for the building environment and the actual needs of other users of the building,so as to put forward a design strategy with guiding significance for the design of the building space environment of the institution.3.According to the theoretical requirements of architectural space environment and the actual investigation results,the conflict between the actual situation and the design theory is analyzed to provide the practical basis for the theoretical choice of the actual design strategy.4.Through the previous research and elaboration,a set of relatively systematic architectural space environment design strategy for the elderly autism vocational training institutions is proposed,which provides certain theoretical guidance for the elderly autism patients and their families to establish a vocational training institution suitable for the current society.
