The modern ports are now developing to one link of the supplying chains, and the competition between ports is changing into the competition among supplying chains which are involved by ports. The port is not an independent node or center of the supplying chain, while it exists as a comprising link of the supplying chain. The operating efficiency of the supplying chain depends on the “port” link and the performance of each link related to ports.Undoubtedly the inland port is the “next efficient operating link”.The inland port,as an important distributing centre for its mother port to grab the cargo resource hinterland,is also a significant measurement tool for ports to control the cargo resource.Through the research on the operation of the Qingdao Port inland port,we can find the restricting factors between the inland port and its mother port,in order to help the policy maker to make up reasonable and efficient policies, then take corresponding measures to improve the optimized operation model,so as to truly accomplish the collaborative development between Qingdao Port and its inland ports.Based on the above background, and analysis of both domestic and international logistics documents, also incorporated with the actual performance of the Qingdao Port's inland ports, this thesis gives a proper assessment for operation of the inland port. After the study of inland ports located in L.by Qingdao Port,it is expected to provide some references for the development of these inland ports, therefore to promote their contribution rates to Qingdao Port.At the same time,it's believed the results can be helpful and significant for Qingdao Port to give a targeted adjustment for the inland port layout, and so as to truly accomplish the collaborative development between Qingdao Port and its inland ports.
