Research On Hebei Port Group Qinhuangdao Port West Port Area Port Development Strategy

With the development of economic globalization and large-scale ships speed up,as well as information technology rapid development of the port industry caused by the depth of change,most of the domestic port enterprises are seeking the transformation and upgrading of the port development mode.Qinhuangdao port west port area has been operating for 120 years,the old port area which located in the city waterfront gold zone.The central government advocates accelerating the implementation of port transformation and upgrading,and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development,Xiongan New Area planning and construction,Hebei to co-host the Beijing winter Olympics and other good factors,all of these provide opportunities for the optimization,upgrading and transformation of the ports in Qinhuangdao port west port area of Hebei port group.Hebei provincial party committee proposed that Qinhuangdao port should decide port development strategy according to city development strategy and integrate with the city,point out the direction that the port of west port area changes development mode.Firstly,this paper reviews the domestic and foreign research literature related to the port development of the old port area,summarizes the research status of port optimization and upgrading,transformation and upgrading at home and abroad,and comprehensively expounds the relevant theories of port development strategy research involved in this paper,it provides a theoretical basis for the port development strategy analysis and strategic system formulation of Qinhuangdao port west port area of Hebei port group.Secondly,this paper uses PEST analysis,Porter’s five forces model,VRIO framework and other strategic analysis tools,makes a comprehensive,in-depth and systematic analysis of the internal and external strategic environment of the port development in Qinhuangdao port west port area of Hebei port group,SWOT analysis is used to define the strategic positioning of the port development in Qinhuangdao port west port area of Hebei port group,scientifically predict the short-term and long-term development strategic goals,and proposes five strategic implementation paths,including upgrading and transforming industrial relics,promoting the construction of internationaltourism port,constructing modern container port,building characteristic industrial parks near the port,and developing integrated tourism between mountains and sea.Finally,this paper puts forward the concrete guarantee for the implementation of the port development strategy of Qinhuangdao port west port area of Hebei port group,includes seven aspects such as striving for various preferential policies,deepening the coordination and linkage between ports and cities,promoting regional and industrial cooperation,building green and smart ports,consolidating the basic management system,and expanding the brand influence.
