Research On The Change Of Kashgar City Landscape From Qing Dynasty To The Republic Of China

Located in the heart of central Asia,Kashgar Prefecture,the westernmost Chinese city,is served as a trading post and important city of transportation on the Silk Road.Established an administration for counsellor minister who was in charge of eight cities of kashgar by Qing dynasty in 1762,the twenty-seventh year of Qianlong in the Qing dynasty,the district gradually becomes as the political,economic and culture center of south Xinjiang.In modern times,the place is the main political and trade routes at home and abroad.In Republican period,further development of northwest of China,especially,Xinjiang,gives opportunity to the development of kashgar’s industry and to quicken the pace of the city’s modernization.Study on the features of kashgar’s landscape changes and the diving force of that would provide the new perspective to understand and construct the place.Natural landscape plays an important role in shaping the urban geographical environment and natural conditions,The human landscape is an urban form,spatial layout and urban regional function,which has a certain impact.Under the interaction of natural landscape and human landscape,it provides a foundation for the development and changes of the urban landscape in Kashgar.The single form of the city’s landscape in early Qing dynasty became thriving and prosperous during the reign of emperor Qianlong and Jiaqing.Thanks to wars,this place limped along during the reign of emperor Daoguang and Yaqub Beg period.As the political,economic and culture center of south Xinjiang,increasing the elements of landscape of kashgar expedited the density of urban space layout after Xijiang was established as a province.During the period of the republic of China,the social,economic,cultural and traffic aspects of kashgar changed greatly,forming a landscape pattern fit with urban planning,which highlighted the characteristics dominated by commercial and traffic landscape elements.In the historical period,mountains and water in the city expressed d people’s different demands and reflected the needs of The Times.The scenery of mountains and water constitutes an organic continuity of the whole,which provides a general direction for the city landscape layout.Bringing destruction to the city,the war prompted the further construction of the urban landscape.The guiding role of the policy is the backgroundand the main reason for the change of the city’s appearance.Under this premise,the action of external forces,such as immigration and the intervention of foreign forces,drives the change of urban landscape layout,which shapes the spatial form of the city.Studying on the changes of urban landscape in kashgar from the qing dynasty to the republic of China,this paper intends to explore the spatial distribution characteristics and the changes of urban landscape function in kashgar,In-depth analysis of the urban landscape and urban form,spatial layout,urban function and urban modernization,there is a close relationship.This research has reference significance for the future city positioning,urban development regulation and urban regional function of border town Kashgar.
