Research On The Decoration Design Of Colonial Architecture In The Late Qing Dynasty And The Early Republic Of China

After the opening of the Hankow,the decorative form of the building was influenced by the construction technology and cultural thought of the West,resulting in the historical period of the coexistence of the traditional architecture of Hankow and Western architecture.French Concession building in Hankow shows the French culture and architectural aesthetic and plays an important role in the modern architecture of Hankow.In this paper,it is an important research object about French concession building in hankow.As one of the historical development of Wuhan City,the French concession in Hankow is the implantation of the western architectural decorative form,and the open-mindedness of the city has accepted the new architectural art aesthetic and become the historical memory.In the reconstruction and renewal of the old city area of Hankow French concession,it is very important in outstanding the decorative elements of the French style.Based on it,this paper explores the architectural decoration of French Concession and its influence on the local architecture.The paper is divided into three parts:The first part is the introduction of the paper: Based on the theory of architectural decoration at domestic and international,this paper expounds the background,purpose and significance of the study of the colonial decoration of the Hankow French concession.The second part is the main body: Starting from the architectural type,decoration details,decoration material and construction technique,sort out the French colonial architectural facade decoration;analyze the decorative art of the facade decoration of the colonial buildings in Hankou French concession,analyzes the presentation of architectural decoration;summarize the style characteristics of the French colonial architecture,and analyze the influence of the architectural decoration of Hankou concession on the coming development of architecture.The third part is the conclusion: French colonial architecture in hankow is the specific historical period of memory in Wuhan,we recognize artistic value of that architectural form,explore its historical value,symbiosis with the architectural form of the "new world".
