Research On Modular Design Of Coworking Space

With the rapid development of the digitalization and sharing economy,new lifestyles and working methods have been born,the boundary between life and work becomes more and more blurred,forming a trend of working environment living and working time fragmentation.The current structure and form of coworking office space is not conducive to the flexible allocation of space resources,and users have put forward more demands for the flexibility and diversity of space functions,modular design is a design method widely used and accepted at present,which has the characteristics of flexible split and combination.this article introduces the modular design method into the coworking office space design,trying to explore the variability of space structure and function,and explore the space design form that adapts to the current and future office needs.This article starts with the discussion of modular design methods and takes co-working space as the research object.based on the characteristics of shared,open,and convenient coworking office,discuss how to use modular design to amplify its advantages of integrating multiple elements and allocating idle resources,with a view to creating a variable space structure and allocating space resources through modular design to meet the needs of users and enterprises.The content of the article mainly involves six levels: one is to divide the elements of the coworking office space into modular units of different levels from the perspective of using functions,and summarize its characteristics and combination methods;The second is to conduct a research on the current situation of modular application of co-working space in Shanghai through field investigations,analyze the shortcomings and problems of the current modular application,and summarize several types of spatial structure plan and layout,and discuss the adaptability of modular design.secondly,through online user surveys,it analyzes its demand for co-working space,its views and acceptance of modular applications,and provides references for subsequent modular design;the third is from different perspectives of enterprises,users and the environment,the advantages of using modular design for coworking space are proposed;the fourth is to discuss the feasibility of the modular design of the coworking office space from the five levels of enterprise cost,space structure,policy support,technical support,and user experience;fifth,combined with the user's use needs and characteristics,put forward the design principles and strategies of modular office space design.sixth,the design practice was carried out with Fountown Space in Shanghai Zhong Shan Park store.Based on the research,the following main conclusions are drawn: first of all,through relevant research,it is found that the modular design of the coworking office space is currently not applied to a high degree,the content is not comprehensive,and the research is not balanced.secondly,the modular design application is feasible in the joint coworking space,which is conducive to improving the dynamic adaptability of the space and maximizing the utilization of space resources.finally,from the perspective of user needs and experience,it is found that specific modular products need to focus on interactivity and participation.
