The Research On Activation Strategy Of Urban Residual Space Based On The Concept Of "Urban Repair"

The city is an important carrier of humanistic spirit and material civilization.The development of the city has brought us convenient transportation,good living environment and diverse cultural life.At the same time,however,the city is constantly developing dynamically.The urbanization rate in China is constantly increasing,and the urban population is increasing year by year.Therefore,many cities have continuously expanded its urban area to enhance its economic vitality.This has caused some space in the city to be used efficiently and reasonably.Some spaces have been idle and abandoned,forming the residual space of the city.However,the unrestricted expansion of cities is an unsustainable development model.Nowadays,more and more urban development models have begun to shift from incremental expansion to stock mining.Therefore,this paper studies the activation and utilization of urban residual space based on the concept of “urban repair” proposed at the national level.In order to improve the utilization of urban space,improve the quality of urban space,and create a good urban living environment for the citizens.Firstly,the article expounds the origin of the research and the purpose and significance of the research.It systematically combs and summarizes the research status at home and abroad,and determines the research content,research methods and research framework of this paper.Secondly,the concept of "urban repair" was studied.It reviews the development of urban spatial form and briefly expounds the evolution of urban development thought.The reasons for the concept of “urban repair” were analyzed.Next,the concept,research progress and basic connotation of the urban repair concept are systematically elaborated.At the same time,the similarities and differences between urban repair and urban design,urban renewal,"urban acupuncture" theory and "daring theory" were compared.Again,the main research space of the city is the main research content.The concept of urban residual space,the cause of formation,the type of space and the characteristics of space are expounded.Then,the article mainly expounds the cognitive construction of urban residual space activation under the concept of “urban repair”.Through analyzing the current situation of residual space,the necessity and significance of residual space activation are discussed.The principle of activation of residual space,the elements of activation and the general steps were studied.Finally,based on the previous research results,the activation and repair strategies of scatter-type,line-type and block-type residual space are proposed.According to the repaired elements,specific operation methods are proposed to enhance the feasibility of the activation of the residual space.In summary,the activation of urban residual space can further activate urban vitality,increase the humanistic value of the city,create a more pleasant urban living environment,and form a complete and scientific urban residual space repairing theory system which provide reference for further research and practice.
