China has entered the mid to late stage of rapid urbanization.The rate of urbanization has shifted from high-speed growth to medium-and high-speed growth.Its development model has achieved a shift from incremental expansion to tapping potential.In response to this situation,urban renewal has been proposed as a major means to apply to the city's stock development and construction.The importance of the urban waterfront space to the city is self-evident because of the particularity of the location,the scarcity of resources,and the diversity of functions and la nd use.With the advent of the post-industrial era,consumption has replaced the production as the first driver of urban development.The waterfront space has become a window for the city's image display and a space carrier for people to experience urban life and carry out outdoor leisure activities,regaining the attention of the people.The development of the waterfront space is in full swing.However,in the process of renewal and development of urban waterfront space,the contradiction between economic construction and ecological protection still exists.People's awareness of the relationship between ecological environment development and protection awareness in waterfront areas results in water pollution in urban waterfront space.Problems such as imbalances in ecosystems,shortages of facilities,etc.,and the development of rivers themselves are often functionally isolated from surrounding cities,failing to exert their due economic value.Secondly,the designer failed to fully recognize the importance of urban natural resources and historical context for the development of waterfront space in the overall image of the waterfront space,and neglected the importance of these factors in displaying the geographical image of the city and led to the developme nt of the waterfront.Water spatial modelling and homogenization have little effect on the promotion of a city.At the same time,"urban double repairs" emerged as a new means of urban renewal."City double repair" continues the evolution and development trend of urban renewal,focusing on the two aspects of "ecological restoration,function repair",emphasizing the importance of urban ecology and lack of function to make up for,and seeking the development balance between urban and natural To enhance the o verall benefits of urban society,economy and ecology.The current "urban double repairs" as a hot topic of urban renewal,its views can better guide the development and construction of the waterfront space.From the perspective of the function repair,the function construction of the waterfront space needs to interact with and complement the urban functions through the The development and construction of water space can,to a certain extent,repair the functional deficiencies caused by the construction of the city;on the other hand,from the perspective of ecological restoration,the restoration of river ecosystems has an effect on improving the urban ecological structure and creating habitats for animals and plants.Significance.This paper starts from the existing problems in the current phase of urban waterfront space,and tries to use the “urban dual repair” theory to propose strategies to guide the development and construction of the waterfront space at the macroscopic level,the middle level and the micro level,and take Chongqing's tea garden area as the new district.The overall design of the riverside water space of the Changsheng River is a practical project case.The feasibility of the verification strategy leads to a universal waterfront space design strategy.The article consists of seven chapters.The first and second chapters expound the background and object of research,and analyze the related concepts of "urban double repair".Then the concept,development and characteristics of waterfront space are studied,and the problems existing in urban waterfront space in China are summarized.Third chapter as a strategy guide part,through the analysis of urban waterfront space in ecology and function,thus summarizes tease out "double major city" under the guide of waterfront space the five design principles.The fourth chapter analyzes and references the application strategies of ecological restoration and functional repair in rivers.The fifth chapter proposes the specific waterfront space design strategy under the guidance of "urban double repair".In chapter 6,the author tries to verify the proposed strategy and confirm its feasibility through the concrete project practice of the overall design of changsheng riverside water space in chongqing tea garden.Chapter seven summarizes the main achievements and shortcomings of the thesis.
