At present, there are many Buddhist temple landscapes in the world to use the element of “natural light and shadow”.However, the application of this element in the current Buddhist temple landscape construction in China is not sufficient.Although some attempts, according to the construction of Buddhist temple landscape in China, the “natural light and shadow” is not considered as an important design element. If natural light and shadow are integrated into the construction of Buddhist temple landscape as an important design element, the quality of Buddhist temple landscape will be improved, and the connotation of landscape space will be more profound. Therefore,it is of great significance to give full play to the role of natural light and shadow elements in the construction of Buddhist temple landscape. In the aspect of theoretical research, there is still a lack of research on natural light and shadow and Buddhist temple landscape, but there are many theoretical achievements in the study of natural light and shadow in other types of garden landscape. Therefore, this paper will focus on the analysis of the role and application of “natural light and shadow” elements in the landscape construction of Buddhist temple. It is hoped that a new idea can be provided for the renovation of the Buddha Temple in the future or in the landscape design, and the possibility of the future development of the Buddhist temple landscape can be explored. This paper will take the natural light and shadow as the breakthrough point to carry on the preliminary exploration to the Buddhist temple landscape design and construction.First of all,by consulting the relevant research literature at home and abroad and field investigation,we master the basic concepts and characteristics of natural light and shadow and Buddhist temple landscape, and summarize the basic forms of natural light and shadow in landscape design. Then the influence of natural light and shadow on landscape color, texture and space is analyzed with relevant theoretical knowledge and examples, and the basic role of natural light and shadow in landscape construction is summarized. Then it studies the application method of natural light and shadow in the construction of Buddhist temple landscape, analyzes the style, atmosphere and artistic conception of Buddhist temple landscape respectively, sums up the demand of Buddhist temple landscape for the landscape effect created by natural light and shadow, and sums up the demand of Buddhist temple landscape for the landscape effect created by natural light and shadow through theory and example.Combined with the method to extract the natural light and shadow onthe Buddhist temple landscape style, atmosphere and artistic conception of the construction techniques, according to the Buddhist temple landscape needs different landscape effects put forward suggestions. Finally, the scene investigation of Bailin Zen Temple in Zhao County is carried out,and its present situation is analyzed. The landscape design is carried out by using the design technique developed above to verify the practicability and correctness of the proposed method. The conclusion of this study: in the design and construction of Buddhist temple landscape,we should take the initiative to use natural light and shadow elements, and give full play to the role of natural light and shadow in Buddhist temple landscape.Through the control of the visual effect produced by the natural light and shadow in the Buddhist temple landscape, different styles of Buddhist temple landscape can be created.By controlling the color, intensity, direction and shape of the natural light introduced into the landscape space, the expected spatial light and shadow effect can be realized, thus shaping the atmosphere needed in the Buddhist temple landscape space.By emphasizing the meaning of light and shadow in Buddhism, scientifically using the effect of natural light and shadow to guide the viewer’s thinking, skillfully using the image of natural light and shadow, the changing law of natural light and shadow, and optical phenomena can effectively create the artistic conception of Buddhist temple landscape. |
