Research On Renewal Strategy Of Zhongshan Road Historical Block In Shenyang Based On City Catalyst Theory

Historical and cultural building is humanity’s common cultural heritage,historical block since the reform and opening up has been varying degrees of damage,a disorderly development,lack of badly damaged buildings,culture and so on,along with our country to vigorously promote the historic district renewal,accelerate the development of the reform of China’s urbanization,land and resources increasingly tense,promoting the development of city historic district become a new target.In the process of the reconstruction of many blocks,the unreasonable reconstruction and renewal measures have seriously weakened the historical texture and cultural deposits of the city.The "urban catalyst" design strategy proposed by American architects Wayne Attoe and Don Logan can activate the original elements in the city without completely transforming them,and they can transform the quality,characteristics and form of the introduced catalyst elements.As an excellent entry point to stimulate the renewal of historical blocks,the theory of urban catalyst is rising rapidly in China.This paper takes Zhongshan road historical district of national historical name Shenyang as an example to discuss the strategies and methods of urban catalyst theory renewal in historical district.The main research contents are as follows:First of all,this article compares and analyzes the classic cases of the practice of historical blocks at home and abroad,discusses the commonality and similarities and differences,and summarizes the four steps of the operation of the urban catalyst theory in the historical blocks through the relevant exposition of the urban catalyst theory.Secondly,the current situation of Zhongshan road historical block in Shenyang was investigated and analyzed,and the deficiencies and problems of the block were summarized from the historical background,building distribution and general situation,block classification,block spatial analysis and primitive catalyst element analysis.Finally,the catalyst strategy is designed for Zhongshan road historic block in Shenyang.From the three aspects of remolding the original catalyst,introducing and shaping the new elements,and improving the existing elements,the historical and cultural block with the theme of the republic of China culture was built with the background of the affiliated land of Manchuria railway and the affiliated land of commercial port.The research results of this paper provide a useful reference for the renewal of China’s historical blocks in urban catalyst theory,operation means and catalyst elements from materiality to immateriality,and provide basic information for the general situation of Zhongshan road historical blocks in Shenyang.
