| As a carrier of urban history, culture and regional characteristics, historic districts are an important part of urban stock space;however, due to the long historical, geographical and social dimensions and slow economic development, the level of material and cultural development of historic districts is far from satisfying the needs of local residents,so it is necessary to seek a suitable path for the conservation and development of historic districts in China. The urban catalyst theory emphasizes the intervention of specific elements in a way that generates a chain reaction and then drives the development of the whole area, which provides new ideas for the renovation and renewal of historic districts. Therefore, this paper attempts to introduce urban catalyst theory, selects the national historical and cultural street Puyang Ancient Cross Street as the research object, and discusses the strategies and methods of urban catalyst theory in the renewal of historical districts, with the main research contents as follows:Firstly, this paper clarifies the research background, purpose, significance, research content and method, and formulates the research framework, summarizes the current situation and specific research progress of the conservation development of historical districts at home and abroad, explores what are the shortcomings in the conservation and renewal of historical districts in China, and clarifies the scope of the conservation and renewal of historical districts by finding the superior plan related to the research object;this paper develops the source of urban catalyst theory, the role By combining the application principles of urban catalyst theory and the current problems of the neighborhood, this paper proposes four application perspectives of urban catalyst theory to guide the conservation and renewal development of historical neighborhoods, namely material, spatial, functional and cultural.Secondly, the current situation research and quantitative analysis of Puyang Ancient Cross Street are conducted.Firstly, the location conditions, historical history, historical relics and intangible cultural heritage of the neighborhood are analyzed through literature reading and field visits, and it is clear that the neighborhood has good location conditions and cultural resources endowment;secondly, the elements of the neighborhood such as architecture, infrastructure, street facade and pavement are analyzed through on-site measurements and quantitative statistics, and it is found that the neighborhood has Third, combined with the spatial syntax, the analysis of the neighborhood connectivity and accessibility has certain defects, the street features are highly recognizable, but the spatial openness is insufficient;fourth, through the GIS nuclear density analysis of the number, type and distribution characteristics of the neighborhood on the level of business, concluding that the neighborhood business is single and the economic vitality is low;fifth, through the Baidu heat map detection Fifthly,we use Baidu heat map to detect the crowd dynamics of the neighborhood on rest days and weekdays, and summarize the characteristics of crowd activities and the current problems of low spatial vitality of the neighborhood as a whole. Finally, the current problems of the neighborhood were sorted out,and it was found that both material and immaterial spaces in the neighborhood were decaying to a certain extent. Therefore, the comprehensive decay perspective of urban catalyst theory was chosen to intervene, and the catalytic elements were divided into four categories, namely spatial catalytic elements, functional catalytic elements, cultural catalytic elements, and material catalytic elements, and the renewal strategies to reshape the four catalytic elements were proposed. They are: sorting out the spatial layout of the neighborhood, traffic flow, inserting intangible cultural heritage and diversified businesses, improving the infrastructure of the neighborhood, public space, greening arrangement, restoring historical buildings and restoring the texture of courtyards. On this basis,we conceptualize the tactile regeneration practice of the historic district, complete the corresponding tactile regeneration design, and, according to the operation of the tactile, intervene in government policies and link with the surrounding scenic spots to guide the direction of the tactile response of the district. This paper aims to provide some theoretical basis and guidance for the application of urban catalytic theory in historical and cultural districts through the excavation and renewal of the ancient cross street historical and cultural district, and provide some reference value for the future design and renewal of historical and cultural districts. |
