In recent years, with the continuous popularization of higher education, the number of university buildings is also constantly growing. Therefore, how to design university buildings to adapt to modern educational concepts, meet the requirements of teaching and the needs of humanity, has become an important topic in current architectural design.Based on this background, the research on the architectural design of colleges and universities is carried out.Firstly, through investigation and research,it is found that college building design generally faces problems such as short construction period, shortage of construction funds, serious disconnection between architectural design and interior design. Therefore,an effective solution to these problems is proposed--the integrated design of university buildings and indoor space.Secondly, from the macroscopic point of view, the relationship between architectural design and interior design is organically unified and inseparable;based on this relationship, the overall view of architectural design, the architectural view of interior design and the specific process of integrated design are discussed. Then, the integrated design principles of university architecture and indoor space are proposed as a guide at the macro level.Thirdly, through the study of the relevant excellent case, the specific techniques and methods of integrated design are summarized from three aspects: building structure, building components and building equipment. And explore the method of integrated design of indoor and outdoor of university buildings,in order to provide guidance for university building design. The last chapter explores the application of the integrated design method in the actual project—the graduate research building of Fuzhou University.Analyse the shortcomings of the project and put forward my own views and suggestions for improvement.
