With the accelerated development of higher education in china, the contradictions between expanding educational needs with the shortage of teaching resources has been increasingly obvious, the popularization of higher education has led to a rapid expansion of the campus scale. This model of high rate expansion will inevitably lead to the resource consumption and environ—mental damage. As a result, the construction of universities has met the resource bottlenecks, the voice of conservation-minded campus are increasingly growing. In order to save space and improve using efficiency, the construction of the campus and the campus building should be focused on a compact forms , the high-level integrated teaching building may be a viable selection under the condition in our country.At the same time, with the great change in the concept of 21st century's higher education, University is constantly in itself transformation. The updating of teaching content and teaching methods is bound to lead a change in the campus infrastructure . The teaching building as material carriers of campus, must be adapt to the new development and the new needs of the time. In the long run, higher education is bound to enter the stage which pursuits the environmental quality and the space quality. Campus should be a harmonious organism which is built by the entity, the space environment and the people togetherOn a macro point, my thesis discusses the development of higher education and higher education building. In accordance with the construction process of the University both in east and west, my thesis summed up the constraint factors with college construction. Into the information age, the transformation of education ideal, teaching modes and methods, will fundamentally change the space of college teaching architecture. At the same time, college teaching architecture's development will also show a unique trend. On the basis of the above arguments, my thesis combines with the actual situation in china, and then study the feasibility of the high-level integrated teaching buildings. After a number of typical research which is combined with high-level integrated teaching buildings' practice case on Xi'an area, the article draw a detailed conclusion. At the end my thesis puts forward an optimal design theory and makes a conclusion.
