A Preliminary Study On The Design Strategy Of “Locality” Of Rural Public Building Under The Background Of Pastoral Complex

With the introduction of “Pastoral Complex” in recent years,China's urban-rural relationship is closer,the frequency of industrial compounding and information interaction is increasing day by day,and rural construction is experiencing a process of continuous acceleration and transformation.However,behind the upsurge,the “characteristic crisis” gradually emerged in different rural areas,and the differentiated “locality” characteristics gradually disappeared,which triggered the academic community's renewed attention and discussion on rural local practice.Based on this background,this paper explores the design strategy of “locality” of rural public buildings.Firstly,through the interpretation of “locality” from sociology to architecture,it is pointed out that “locality” is an important inherent attribute of architecture,which is reflected in different scales,subjects and stages in architectural design.On this basis,the research will focus on the context of contemporary rural construction in China,and clarify many difficulties encountered in the local practice in the materials,construction systems,collective culture and environmental capacity.Secondly,it analyzes the development history and practice status of rural areas in China,and points out that the “Pastoral Complex” is a policy summary of the development trend of China's rural comprehensive industry,and gradually becomes a development model of “modern agriculture + cultural tourism + rural community”.At the same time,by combing and comparing the existing planning and construction achievements,it is revealed that the rural public buildings are the main venue carriers of the pastoral complex model.To discuss their local design strategy,it is necessary to face the new demands brought by the background of the pastoral complex,and complete the composite evolution of the functional and spatial types of them.Then,through the collation,screening and visits of the completed cases in recent years,the design strategies of “locality” of rural public buildings under the background of pastoral complex are grouped into four categories,namely “in-situ environment strain”,“in-situ site creation”,“in-situ material construction” and “in-situ time accompanying”,and explain the eleven specific strategies one by one in combination with the case.The first three categories of strategies focus on the designer's exploration of nine aspects: “climate environment,topographic conditions,contextual texture,site elements,spatial types,shared spaces,traditional techniques,indigenous materials,industrial systems”.Combined with the time factor of geographical design,this paper expands the two hidden strategies of “collaborative construction” and “shared platform”,taking into account the collaborative management process of different entities in the whole life cycle of the building.Finally,based on the aforementioned framework of the design strategy of “locality”,taking the design of “Shangfan Rural Life Experience Museum” as an example,discuss the comprehensive application process of design strategy in environmental condition research,concept design,shape layout,site construction and material construction.The full text includes about 45,000 characters,and more than 90 groups of diagrams and pictures.
