The construction of China's expressway backbone network has basically been completed.On the one hand,the construction of the expressway stock is mainly located in the central and western regions of China.The marginal impact of the new expressways on the existing network is weakening.On the other hand,the charging period of highquality toll roads of listed companies has been shortened year by year.Most of the newly acquired toll roads are contact lines or encrypted lines,and the toll revenue is much lower than the core toll roads.In this case,as the most dynamic part of China's expressway operation and management system,expressway listed companies face the problem that their main business is shrinking.Company Z is an excellent company of China's expressway listed enterprises and the charging period of its toll roads is less than 8 years.Even more,it is also faced with the fact that the profitability of new road products in the Z Province is not good enough and it is more difficult to acquire high-quality toll roads outside the province.The sustainable development of Company Z's main business is facing great challenges.Company Z is used as the research object in the thesis.Firstly,the logic of SWOT analysis is used in general,starting from the two dimensions of external environmental analysis(OT analysis)and internal environmental analysis(SW analysis).The PSET analysis method is used to analyze the company's macro environment.The Porter-Five Forces model is used to analyze the industry and the competitive environment.The value chain analysis theory is used to obtain the core competitiveness of Company Z and the SWOT model is used to get Company Z's own advantages,shortcomings,external opportunities and challenges.Secondly,from the narrow and broad dimensions,the existing development strategy of Z company is evaluated.The research conclusions are as follows: at present,the competition intensity of the expressway industry is at a moderate level and governments play a leading role in the development of the expressway industry.Potential entrants bring more cooperation and opportunities than challenges to the listed expressway enterprises.From the perspective of narrow strategic assessment,there is still a gap between the company's current development status and the existing development strategic objectives.From the perspective of broad strategic assessment,the current development strategy is resilient but lacks momentum.Finally,by use of case study,the development strategies of domestic and foreign expressway listed enterprises are analyzed,and general enlightenments are obtained.Finally,new development strategy of Company Z is proposed.From five dimensions of organizational structure,such as governance structure,enterprise management,human resources and capital operation,the strategic implementation guarantee measures are proposed.The research results of this thesis can be used as the reference for domestic listed companies in the expressway industry.
